The wait for Euphoria Season 3 is finally over. The hit HBO drama returned on April 12, 2026, after a four-year break, and fans are already talking about the music. The premiere episode, titled “Ándale,” brought back the show’s signature style of using songs to tell the story. Even with a big change behind the scenes, the soundtrack continues to set the mood for Rue and the rest of the cast.
Every Song Featured in the Season 3 Premiere
The first episode of Euphoria Season 3 uses eight tracks. The music mixes classic rock, old pop songs, and darker tunes to match the intense scenes. Here is the complete list of every song that plays in Episode 1:
- “Ride Like the Wind” by Christopher Cross
- “Love Is Like Oxygen” by Sweet
- “Sunset and Vine” by Waylon Jennings
- “(How Much Is That) Doggie In The Window” by Patti Page
- “Teufel” by Schwarzer Engel
- “Trouble Man” by Marvin Gaye
- “Who’s That Girl?” by Eve
- “Little Green Apples” by The Temptations
The episode kicks off with Christopher Cross’s “Ride Like the Wind” as Rue drives toward the Mexican border. The song matches the open-road feeling of the scene right before things go wrong. Later, Patti Page’s cheerful “(How Much Is That) Doggie In The Window” plays during a very uncomfortable moment involving Cassie, creating a sharp contrast that Euphoria does so well.
No Labrinth Music in Season 3
For the first time in the show’s history, Labrinth does not appear on the Euphoria Season 3 soundtrack. His music was a huge part of the first two seasons. His song “All For Us” with Zendaya became an anthem for the series.
Before the season came out, Labrinth shared on social media that he was done with the music industry. He wrote strong words about the business and the show, saying “Double F**k Euphoria.” The show’s creator, *Sam Levinson*, told *Rolling Stone* that he did not know what happened with Labrinth. He called him a great collaborator who built the sound of Euphoria.
Labrinth later explained on his Instagram Story why he left. He said he removed his music from the show because he does not let people treat him badly. He also released a new song called “SHUT YOUR DAMN” at the exact same time the Euphoria premiere aired.

What Happens in Episode 1 “Ándale”
The episode picks up five years after the season two ending. Rue is no longer in high school. She is now working as a drug mule, transporting fentanyl across the Mexican-American border. She owes money to Lori (Martha Kelly) and lives a very dangerous life.
Lexi (Maude Apatow) is working as an assistant to a famous TV showrunner played by Sharon Stone. Maddy (Alexa Demie) works in Hollywood as a manager’s assistant. Nate (Jacob Elordi) has taken over his father’s construction business and is engaged to Cassie (Sydney Sweeney).
The episode ends with Rue at a mansion owned by a man named Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). After one of the pills Rue delivers kills a woman, Alamo forces Rue to take a terrifying test. He balances an apple on her head and shoots it off with a gun. Rue survives, but she is now tied to an even more dangerous group of people.
