The Yellowstone universe keeps growing, and fans are wondering if two of the biggest spinoffs will ever come together. Kelly Reilly, who plays the fierce Beth Dutton, recently shared her thoughts on whether her new show Dutton Ranch might cross paths with Marshals, the series starring her on-screen brother Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton.
The actress did not hold back about missing her former co-star. She also made it clear what she hopes happens down the road.
Kelly Reilly Says She Misses Luke Grimes and Wants a Crossover
Reilly spoke with People magazine about the upcoming premiere of Dutton Ranch. During the conversation, she brought up the idea of joining forces with Marshals. Her words showed real affection for Grimes and excitement about a possible reunion.
“I’m so proud of Luke, and we love him so much, and I miss him. I wish we had a crossover. Maybe we will in the future.”
This statement came straight from Reilly herself. It gives Yellowstone fans a reason to pay close attention to both shows going forward. Dutton Ranch hits screens on May 15, 2026, while Marshals is already airing its first season.
No Crossover in Season 1 of Dutton Ranch
Here is what viewers need to know right now. Kelly Reilly confirmed that Kayce Dutton does not show up in the first season of Dutton Ranch. The two spinoffs exist separately for the time being.
Marshals premiered on March 1, 2026, on CBS and Paramount+. The show follows Kayce Dutton as he joins an elite group of U.S. Marshals in Montana. He starts fresh with his son Tate after the death of his wife Monica.
Dutton Ranch takes Beth and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) to South Texas. They leave Montana behind after a tragic event. The move puts them in a completely new world where they are no longer the top dogs.
Kelly Reilly explained the shift in power. “They were the top dogs in Montana. Now they’re the strangers. They don’t know what they’re dealing with.”
Both Spinoffs Are Thriving on Different Networks
Even without a crossover yet, both shows are doing very well. Marshals has already earned a season 2 renewal. The show pulled in over 20 million viewers in its first seven days across all platforms. The season 1 finale is set for May 24, 2026.
Dutton Ranch has nine episodes in its first season. The show will release two episodes on premiere day, followed by one new episode each week. No official renewal has been announced yet, but the buzz around the show suggests good things.
Luke Grimes previously told TV Insider that more Yellowstone faces will likely show up on Marshals. The show has already mentioned Beth, Rip, and John Dutton in earlier episodes.
What Brings Beth and Rip to Texas
The shift from Montana to Texas changes everything for Beth and Rip. In Dutton Ranch, they fight to build a future together far from the ghosts of Yellowstone. But the road is not easy.
A rival ranch stands in their way. This enemy will do anything to protect its empire. The official logline warns that in South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is rare, and survival might cost someone their soul.
Kelly Reilly said the story asks a big question. “Who are they together now?” Without her father John Dutton’s shadow hanging over them, Beth and Rip must figure out their own path.
The cast of Dutton Ranch also includes Ed Harris, Jai Courtney, Annette Bening, Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, and Marc Menchaca.

Will a Crossover Happen One Day?
Kelly Reilly left the door wide open. She did not rule out a future meeting between Beth and Kayce. Fans of the original Yellowstone know how close those two characters were despite their differences.
Luke Grimes also seems open to the idea. He said there is “probably a good chance” that more Yellowstone stars appear on Marshals. The show already brought back Gil Birmingham and Mo Brings Plenty as recurring characters.
For now, viewers can watch Marshals on CBS and Paramount+ every Sunday. Dutton Ranch arrives on May 15 on Paramount Network and Paramount+.
