Sébastien Vaniček, the French horror filmmaker behind the upcoming Evil Dead Burn, has signed with WME (William Morris Endeavor) for representation. The news broke on June 8, 2026, as an exclusive report.
Vaniček directed and co-wrote Evil Dead Burn, the next movie in the famous Sam Raimi horror franchise. Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on July 24, 2026.
Vaniček’s Rise After Infested Success
The French director got the job to helm Evil Dead Burn after his first movie Infested became a breakout hit. That spider horror film first showed at the Venice Film Festival. It went on to win Best Film and Best Director at Fantastic Fest. Infested also received a Special Jury Prize at the Sitges Film Festival and earned a César Award nomination for Best First Film.
After its festival run, Shudder bought the film for North America and several other international markets.
Vaniček continues to have representation with Studio 112 in Paris.
