What Happened Before Episode 4
The third season of Grand Blue Dreaming takes the Peek-a-Boo Diving Club to a brand-new destination — Palau. This marks the first time the series has moved outside Japan. The story follows Iori Kitahara, a college student who has spent the past several months living the college life in Izu, staying at the diving shop Grand Blue alongside his cousin Chisa Kotegawa.

Episode 3, titled “Saving Private Passport,” saw Iori and the gang head to his family home to grab his passport for the upcoming trip. The episode also brought the upcoming trip to Palau back to the forefront as Iori had to deal with his little sister Shiori to get hold of his passport.
Episode 4 Begins the Palau Adventure
Episode 4 is where the Palau Arc finally begins. This is the moment manga readers have been waiting for. The Palau Arc is not just another vacation episode — it changes the atmosphere of the series while keeping everything that makes Grand Blue so entertaining. Instead of staying around the familiar coastline of Japan, the story opens up with beautiful tropical scenery, crystal-clear water, and entirely new opportunities for disaster.
The Peek-a-Boo diving club has traveled overseas to help at the new branch of the diving shop “Dolphin” in Palau. The episode continues the Palau arc where the characters explore a new environment and face new challenges.
