The first-look photos, released on August 17, 2026, show Pratt’s Reece in various intense settings, including outdoor environments, a shooting range, and scenes with armed operatives. These images point to a season that expands far beyond the revenge-driven story of the original.

Season 2 Moves from Revenge to Global Espionage

The Terminal List Season 2 draws its story from Jack Carr’s second novel, True Believer. After completing his personal list in Season 1, Reece starts a new chapter that takes him across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

The psychological revenge thriller of Season 1 now opens into a globe-trotting espionage story. Reece must uncover a conspiracy that stretches from Moscow to Langley, with connections reaching into his own family’s history.

“The psychological revenge story of season one expands into a globe-trotting espionage thriller, taking Reece across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe,” a synopsis from the producers reads.

The new season finds Reece dealing with a brain tumor and struggling with regret while on the run. The U.S. government gives him a choice: hunt down a former ally or go to prison.

Chris Pratt Battled Illness During Filming

Chris Pratt faced real health challenges while shooting The Terminal List Season 2. The actor battled E. coli and tick bite fever during the production.

“Through all the boat scenes I was battling E. Coli and something called tick bite fever that I had gotten in Africa,” Pratt told USA TODAY. “Much of that look is from a stomach bug. There were nights I was sweating through my mattress with fever and sickness. But our schedule was so tight I didn’t take time off.”

Show creator David DiGilio joked about the situation, saying, “It was our authenticity mandate taken to the extreme”.
