Yami Gautam’s upcoming fantasy film Nayyi Navelli has created quite a buzz online, but it’s her husband’s reaction to her first look that has really caught everyone’s attention. Filmmaker Aditya Dhar shared a funny response to his wife’s new role as a daayan (witch) in the film’s motion poster, and their playful exchange has become the talk of social media.
The motion poster for Nayyi Navelli was released on August 19, 2026, by Amazon MGM Studios and Colour Yellow Productions. It shows Yami Gautam in a red bridal saree with gold jewellery, holding a demon by the neck with a piece of cloth wrapped around it. A Ferris wheel appears in the background, and the poster carries the tagline “Bhabhi Daayan hai”. The film is set to hit theatres on October 16, 2026, just in time for the Dussehra festival.
Aditya Dhar Shares His Playful Reaction on Instagram
Shortly after the poster was released, Aditya Dhar took to Instagram to share it with his followers. Instead of a regular promotional message, he chose a funny caption that quickly went viral.
“So this is what I married into!! @yamigautam”
He added an evil emoji along with a heart emoji to go with his post. The light-hearted comment showed his support for his wife while also poking fun at her unusual on-screen avatar. His gesture won over fans online, with many calling it cute and praising him for being an “OG supporter”.

The story is set in a chaotic household in Meerut. It follows a picture-perfect bride who brings happiness and harmony to the family. However, things take an unexpected turn when her brother-in-law begins to suspect that the ideal bahu (daughter-in-law) might actually be a daayan (witch). The film’s logline reads: “A picture-perfect bride transforms a chaotic Meerut household into paradise, only for her brother-in-law to suspect that his seemingly ideal sister-in-law may actually be a daayan (witch)!”. Actor Rajesh Dubeay is also part of the cast.

Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar’s love story began during the promotions of their film Uri: The Surgical Strike. They developed a close friendship that later turned into love. The couple kept their relationship private for a long time and tied the knot on June 4, 2021, in a small ceremony attended only by close family members. They welcomed their first child, a son named Vedavid, in May 2024.
