Detailed Recap of Episode 7
Episode 7, which aired on August 19, 2026, was a major turning point for the series. It slowed down the fast-paced narrative and established a major villain for the protagonist.
The episode picked up where the previous one left off. Joo-Heon had incapacitated Kwon Taejoon, the CEO of TKBM. Kwon was the main person who exploited Joo-Heon in his previous life. However, the episode revealed that Kwon was not actually defeated. He possesses an immortality relic based on Achilles, which allows him to survive devastating injuries. This makes him an extremely dangerous opponent. Joo-Heon pushed his relic to its limit during the battle, which ended up damaging both Muramasa and the Tome of Hamarubi.
After the battle, Joo-Heon realized that many of his important relics were damaged. He contacted Irene to find someone who could restore them. She recommended a person who was supposedly dead. However, Joo-Heon used his knowledge of the future to realize that this person, Yanagi, is actually alive.
The episode also introduced Yanagi, a character who possesses a unique relic that allows him to duplicate other relics. His copies are so well-made that people cannot tell the difference. Joo-Heon instantly understood what was happening when Yanagi returned a fake version of his relics. Instead of using force, Joo-Heon used Yanagi’s tragic past to push him into a deal. Joo-Heon offered Yanagi a position as his exclusive relic restorer and promised to help him deal with his enemy, Richard.
Yanagi confronted Kwon and asked for Richard’s relic. Kwon responded by having his men attack Yanagi. Just when Yanagi appeared to be in serious trouble, Joo-Heon burst into the room and took down the guards. The episode ended with Joo-Heon once again proving that he is several steps ahead of everyone else.
Joo-Heon does not behave like a traditional heroic protagonist. Instead, he uses manipulation, intimidation, and his knowledge of the future to achieve his goals.
