Where to Watch Oh My Guard in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and India
Lifetime Korea holds the domestic broadcast rights, and Viu streams the series in selected Asian markets, including Indonesia, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian territories. A+E Global Media has licensed the show in 83 countries, which leaves room for more platforms to be added outside Asia.
For viewers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, no confirmed broadcaster or streaming platform has been named yet. Viu does not operate in those markets, so audiences there will need to wait for an official announcement from A+E or a local rights holder.
India viewers also have no confirmed platform at this stage. Viu is not available in India, and no Indian streamer has announced a deal for the series.
Streaming on Viu typically arrives about two hours after the Korean broadcast, according to Indonesian outlet IDN Times. That puts the Viu release at roughly 12:50 a.m. KST on Sunday for the Saturday episode, which converts to 11:50 p.m. WIB on Saturday for Indonesian viewers.
Jung Yong Hwa Returns After Three Years as a Star Who Cannot Kiss
Uhm Tae Bong is a top Hallyu actor known for romance dramas, but he has one strict rule: he never films kissing scenes. The reason is not a professional choice. His body shuts down when he kisses someone, and he has kept that weakness hidden from the public.
Jung Yong Hwa said the unusual premise pulled him back to acting after his last drama, Brain Works, in 2023.
“The premise itself was so fresh,” Jung Yong Hwa said. “Even I found myself reading the script and wondering, ‘What makes this character so charming?’”
The character also carries a second hidden flaw. Uhm Tae Bong is tone-deaf, which is the opposite of Jung Yong Hwa’s real-life role as the lead vocalist of CNBLUE. One scene required him to sing IU’s “Good Day” badly on purpose.
“I had to deliberately sing off-key, and it was harder than I expected,” he said.
Jung Yong Hwa also found a personal connection to the character’s lonely off-screen life.
“Uhm Tae Bong is very professional about his work. He gives his all when he’s working, but when he gets home, he’s left all alone. I found that part of him similar to me,” he explained.
Hong Seung Hee Plays Two Women in One Body
Hong Seung Hee takes on a dual role as Oh Hae Ra and Cha Hong Doo. Oh Hae Ra is a reclusive chaebol heiress who has spent years watching Uhm Tae Bong’s dramas from inside her home. A car accident erases her memories, but she keeps every detail of his series “The Crown Prince’s Bodyguard” in her head.
She wakes up believing she is Cha Hong Doo, the fearless bodyguard from that drama. The role pushes Hong Seung Hee to switch between a timid woman who struggles to leave her house and a confident fighter who throws herself into danger.
Preparing for the bodyguard side of the character required physical work. Hong Seung Hee trained at a martial arts school to handle the action scenes, according to IDN Times.
Supporting Cast Members and Their Roles
Lee Yi Kyung plays Han Jeong Woo, a character who mixes into the comedy around the main couple. Han Chae Ah plays So Hyun Joo, and Park Yoo Na plays Song Na Ri, an idol-turned-actress who develops feelings for Uhm Tae Bong after working with him on several projects.
Choi Yang Rak makes a special appearance in the drama, according to Hallyu Subs. The supporting cast fills out the entertainment-industry world that surrounds Uhm Tae Bong and adds complications to the central romance.
Details Fans Might Not Know About the Production
Oh! My Guard is written by Byun Sang Soon, whose previous credits include Two Cops. Yoon Jong Ho, who directed Lovely Runner, co-directs with Lee Seung Hoon, who directed Doctor Shin. PeopleStory Company and Syn & Studio produce the series.
A+E Global Media is not just distributing the show. The company is investing in it directly, a sign of its push into Korean content. A+E Korea managing director Youngsun Soh said the company was drawn to the “inventive premise” and the “fresh pairing” of the two leads.
The Korean title is “밑도 끝도 없이 너다”, which translates roughly to “It’s You, Without Rhyme or Reason.” The series also carries the alternate English titles “It’s You, Out of the Blue” and “It’s You, Regardless.”

The Real Reason Uhm Tae Bong Refuses Kiss Scenes
The show’s central joke is that a man famous for romance cannot handle physical intimacy. Every kiss sends him to the floor. That flaw has kept him away from real relationships, and it becomes the wall that Oh Hae Ra accidentally breaks through when she enters his life as a self-appointed protector.
Oh Hae Ra believes she is protecting a character in a drama, not a real actor. Uhm Tae Bong plays along at first because the people around him suggest it is the safest way to handle her condition. The line between the drama world and the real world blurs as the two spend more time together, and the fake relationship starts to carry real feelings.
