Vidyut Jammwal has shared the first clear picture of how Tiger Shroff is coping after gunmen fired at his car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18, 2026. Speaking on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, The Ranveer Show, Jammwal said Tiger is “stressed for sure” and has “every reason to be” because the attack was an attempt on his life. Jammwal also explained why he posted a video calling out bystanders, and how he reacted when that video became a meme storm online. The comments were reported by Hindustan Times, Indian Express, Times of India and MensXP on November 6, 2026.
What Vidyut Jammwal Said About Tiger Shroff’s State of Mind
Asked how Tiger was doing after the firing, Jammwal gave a direct answer on the podcast.
“He is happy, stressed for sure. I was also telling him that not many people have had the experience of someone shooting at their faces. This happens in the army. So, it cannot be a normal experience. Nobody can fathom that experience, nobody can say that this is how you should be. He is stressed, and he has every reason to be. I told Tiger that he has to be stressed because there has been an attempt to murder him, so it cannot be a normal experience. So, he is good and trying his best to get out of this.”
The Khuda Haafiz actor made it clear that he was not telling Tiger to “move on” in a casual way. Jammwal compared the experience to what soldiers face when they know someone is actively trying to kill them. He said there is no fixed way to react to that kind of trauma, and Tiger should not feel pressure to behave in any particular manner.
Jammwal also shared the advice he gave Tiger directly.
“Don’t restrict yourself.”
The Commando star urged Tiger not to stop playing football or posting fitness videos out of fear of being trolled. He told Tiger to keep doing everything that had made him “this brilliant,” and even suggested that Tiger could come back as an even fitter version of himself.
Why Vidyut Jammwal Posted the Video After the Firing
Jammwal was one of the first Bollywood figures to speak out after the shooting. On October 19, 2026, he posted a selfie video that praised Tiger’s courage but questioned why nobody at the scene tried to stop the attackers.
The video was not planned as a viral moment. Jammwal said his conversation with Tiger triggered it. Tiger described “isolating himself from everybody around” after the attack, and that detail upset Jammwal. What angered him more was the lack of action from the crowd.
“My question was, why did nobody run? There were 100 cameras. Everybody had a video, but there was no attempt to do anything. That upset me, and that is the whole reason I posted the video.”
In the original video, Jammwal said Tiger’s fans who claim to be his “biggest fan” should have done something. He argued that even Tiger’s driver or a passerby could have tried to stop the attacker. He clarified that he was not asking unarmed people to fight a gunman, but he believed “one hero” could have changed the situation.
“All those fans, someone should have run… someone should have caught them (the shooters). ‘I love you, I am your biggest fan.’ What is this, guys? We do our part; you should do something too.”
Jammwal also asked Mumbai Police to make sure such an incident never happens again. He said security for Tiger was necessary, but accountability mattered too.
“Mumbai Police, yes, you will provide him with security, but this should never happen again. If such a mistake happens again, you will be the ones held responsible.”
The October 18 Juhu Firing Incident
The attack took place around 7 PM on October 18, 2026, when Tiger was leaving Pushpa Park in Juhu after a football session. Three men on a motorcycle opened fire at his BMW, according to police. Reports say five rounds were fired.
Tiger escaped without gunshot injuries. His driver, Firdous, and another staff member, Umesh Chavan, were injured. Firdous sustained a wound to his left hand, while Chavan suffered a bullet injury. Both were taken to hospital. Tiger’s hand was also injured by gunpowder and broken glass fragments, according to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who visited the actor’s home after the incident.
Shinde told reporters that both Tiger and his mother, Ayesha Shroff, were shaken.
“This is a major incident… five rounds were fired, but fortunately, he was safe. His driver sustained injuries, and the incident is condemnable.”
Ayesha Shroff also spoke to India Today after the attack. Asked how her son was doing, she gave a thumbs-up and said, “God is great.”
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the firing. A social media post attributed to Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu said the attack was linked to Tiger’s past comment praising Salman Khan. During the promotions of Heropanti 2 in 2022, Tiger had said, “Is industry mein ek hi hai Tiger, aur woh hai Salman Sir” — meaning Salman is the only “tiger” in the industry. Investigators are examining whether that remark was the motive.
The Case So Far
Mumbai Police formed multiple teams to trace the attackers, and the Mumbai Crime Branch took over the investigation. The case has since expanded across states.
On October 27, 2026, police invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against the accused. On November 3, 2026, a Special MCOCA Court granted police custody of the 13th accused — a 22-year-old woman arrested from Haryana’s Karnal district — until November 16, 2026. She is the third woman arrested in the case.
Arrests have been made in Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana. Investigators are also tracing six bank accounts and examining an alleged money trail connected to the shooters. The probe is looking at roles in the conspiracy, logistics and weapons supply.
Vidyut Jammwal on the Memes and Trolling
Jammwal’s video did not only get support. It also became a meme.
An AI-generated parody recast his remarks in a football setting after Barcelona’s 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in El Clasico on October 25, 2026. The parody used his lines, including “Kisko toh bhagna chahiye tha, kisiko toh pakadna chahiye tha nhi?” A woman’s sarcastic video also questioned whether ordinary people should be expected to chase armed attackers.
Jammwal did not fight the jokes. He laughed.
“God heard me very quickly.”
He said he was at a yoga university and stayed off social media for the first two days. When he checked on the third night, he found the memes creative and realized people were using his video to let off steam. He started reposting them himself.
On October 27, 2026, he shared a playful post with the caption, “I AM WATCHING YOU I love youuu, I am your biggest fan.. What is this guys,” followed by laughing emojis. In response to the AI parody, he wrote, “One doesn’t need martial arts skill; one has ‘empathetic courage’; just activate it.. Loveee.”
The trolling did not change his core point. Jammwal said he was speaking about bystander apathy, not asking people to perform martial arts on gunmen.
Tiger Shroff’s Slow Return to Work
Tiger has stayed largely out of public view since the attack. Reports on October 28, 2026 said he was preparing to resume shooting for Raj Mehta’s Lag Jaa Gale, co-starring Lakshya and Janhvi Kapoor. The plan was a 10-day schedule in early November, with the location kept under wraps for safety.
A source told Mid-Day that Tiger was considering returning to work with security significantly stepped up.
Reports also said Tiger would make his first public appearance at a book launch in Mumbai on November 3, 2026. His spokesperson dismissed those reports as baseless, clarifying that he would not attend. Tiger has kept a low profile since October 18.
