Marvel’s Ironheart is finally arriving on Disney+, bringing a fresh superhero story to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The series stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a genius inventor who builds her own high-tech armor.
Fans first met Riri in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), where she played a key role. Now, her standalone series explores her journey after returning to Chicago. The show blends technology and magic, setting up an exciting clash between science and the supernatural.
When and Where to Watch Ironheart
Ironheart premieres on June 24, 2025, with the first three episodes dropping at once. The remaining three episodes will release on July 1. The series will be available on Disney+ worldwide and JioCinema in India.
What Is Ironheart About?
The story picks up after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Riri Williams, a 15-year-old MIT student, returns to Chicago to continue developing her Ironheart armor. Unlike Tony Stark, she doesn’t have unlimited resources, making her journey more challenging.
Her path crosses with Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos), also known as The Hood, a villain who uses dark magic. The series explores their complicated relationship as Riri balances her scientific genius with the dangers of the mystical world.
“The story of Ironheart is not one about the mantle of Iron Man getting passed. If anything, it’s the opposite. It’s about her proving herself and shaping her own legacy,” said executive producer Zoie Nagelhout.

This series concludes Phase 5 of the MCU. It sets up future storylines, including Avengers: Doomsday (2026), where Riri may return. The show also introduces magic vs. technology, a theme not deeply explored before in the MCU.
“We’ve had technological heroes and villains. We’ve had supernatural people dealing with magic. We’ve never had the two at the same time,” said Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios.
