Megyn Kelly has publicly criticized actress Charlize Theron for her recent comments about having a one-night stand with a 26-year-old man. The former Fox News host called Theron’s remarks “vulgar” and “off-putting” during an episode of her SiriusXM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show.”

Theron, who is currently promoting her new film “The Old Guard 2,” made the comments during an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast with Alex Cooper. The 49-year-old actress shared details about her experience with the younger man, saying:

“I did just recently f-ck a 26-year-old, and it was really amazingโ€ฆ I’ve never done that. And I was like, ‘Oh, this is great.’ Women should be the ones that are like, ‘F-ck you, I’m going to have an orgasm.’”

Kelly strongly objected to Theron sharing these details publicly, stating:

“She’s 49 years old. She’s trying to sound like she’s 26 years old, and it’s inappropriate. It feels weird. She’s one of our biggest stars, that’s true. Act like itโ€ฆ Have some class.”

Kelly questions Theron’s sexuality and truthfulness

The conservative commentator went further by suggesting Theron might not be telling the truth about her sexual encounter and hinted that the actress might prefer women. Kelly said:

“I kind of call bullsh-t because I believe that Charlize Theron probably prefers women. That’s my belief. Okay, I’m entitled to my opinionโ€ฆ And I don’t think that she’s telling the truth about the 26-year-old.”

Theron has addressed speculation about her sexuality in the past. During a 2017 appearance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” she told host Andy Cohen:

“When I was young, yes [I experimented with women]. I mean, it’s just so not a big deal. I’m so old school โ€” I really like dudes.”

Kelly criticizes Theron’s language and parenting comments

The podcast host also took issue with Theron’s frequent use of profanity during the interview, saying:

“I love a good F-bombโ€ฆ But every sentence? An F-bomb? ‘F in this, F in that, F in God,’ what is that? This is like an affectation where she’s trying to act like, again, young, cool girl.”

Kelly also criticized Theron for comments about raising her two adopted children without a male partner present, stating:

“She’s got two children. They don’t need a father? She’s super proud of the fact that there’s no father in the picture? Great. Good for you. It’s a very strange thing to see one of our best-known actresses sit down like that, with the crossed legs, with this sex podcaster, talking about their orgasms and who they f’ed. It’s just really off-putting.”

Theron’s previous comments about Jeff Bezos’ wedding guests

This isn’t the first time Theron has made headlines for her blunt comments recently. At the fifth annual Block Party for her Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project last week, the actress joked about not being invited to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sรกnchez’s lavish Venice wedding, which included celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Sydney Sweeney. Theron said:

“I think we might be the only people who did not get an invite to the Bezos wedding. But that’s okay because they suck and we’re cool.”

The wedding, which reportedly cost over $40 million, has been the subject of much discussion, with some criticizing its extravagance during a time of economic hardship for many. Theron’s comments appeared to reference this criticism while also poking fun at the star-studded guest list.

Public reaction to the controversy

The exchange between Theron and Kelly has sparked debate online, with many fans defending Theron’s right to speak openly about her personal life. Others have supported Kelly’s position that such topics should remain private. The discussion touches on broader conversations about age gaps in relationships, women’s sexuality, and double standards in how public figures discuss their personal lives.

Theron, who won an Academy Award for her role in “Monster,” has built a reputation as one of Hollywood’s most respected actresses while maintaining a relatively private personal life. Her recent comments mark a departure from this approach, leading to both criticism and praise from different quarters.
