The strangest stories from the Sunshine State are returning for another round. HBO has officially announced the premiere date for the second season of its late-night comedy It’s Florida, Man, confirming the show will be back on screens before the end of the month. The new season will feature a massive lineup of guest stars, including Adam DeVine, Tiffany Haddish, and Johnny Knoxville, bringing more unbelievable Florida tales to life.

Season 2 Release Schedule and Streaming

Viewers can mark their calendars for Friday, November 28. The second season will premiere on HBO and become available to stream on HBO Max at that time. Instead of a full-season drop, the show will follow a weekly release schedule. The season consists of six episodes, with the finale scheduled for Friday, January 2. This weekly rollout will give audiences a regular dose of Florida’s unique humor throughout the holiday season.

The series is produced by Rough House Pictures, the company behind popular HBO shows like Eastbound & Down and The Righteous Gemstones. It continues its format of blending real interviews with the Floridians who lived through these bizarre events and comedic reenactments by a talented cast. The show describes itself as a “love letter to the beaches, backwaters, and basements of a misunderstood yet magical state.”

A Guide to the New Episodes

Each episode of the new season will explore a different ripped-from-the-headlines story. HBO has released the official titles and plot summaries for all six upcoming installments.

The season begins with “Speedy” on November 28. The plot involves a seasoned criminal who plots to steal an entire casino boat after the state of Florida takes possession of his dog. The following week, on December 5, “Pizza Man” will tell the story of a Pensacola man who, after a night of hard partying, finds himself nearly naked in a chain pizza restaurant.

On December 12, “Cuckoo Girl” follows a Naples woman who gets in trouble with the law after succumbing to the effects of a new medication. The December 19 episode, “Bigfoot,” focuses on a Sarasota man who heads to the Everglades with a new friend to search for the elusive Skunk Ape.

The year wraps up with “Moonshine” on December 26, where an opportunist trying to make a quick buck as a moonshiner finds himself pitted against another illegal backwoods operation. Finally, the season concludes on January 2 with “Crushed,” which involves a sheltered Jacksonville girl who travels to Orlando to meet her online goth prince, leading to a chilling mishap.

Show Creators and Production Team

The series is created and executive produced by Mark Herwick for Range Studios and Jeff Tomsic, who also directs the episodes. The show is also executive produced by Danny McBride and Brandon James for Rough House Pictures, continuing McBride’s long and successful partnership with HBO.

The first season of It’s Florida, Man was released in late 2024 and was quickly renewed after becoming a sleeper hit for the network. Its blend of real interviews and comedic reenactments of bizarre Florida news stories resonated with audiences, making it a natural candidate for a second season. The show was noted for cracking HBO’s top three most-watched shows during its first-season run.
