The final chapter of the hit series Stranger Things is about to begin. The first part of Season 5 arrives on Netflix this week, but the exact date and time you can watch it depend on where you live in the world. The release schedule is broken into three volumes, with the first batch of episodes kicking off a month-long event that concludes on New Year’s Eve.
Stranger Things 5 Part 1 Release Dates and Times
Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1 will be available on Netflix starting November 26, 2025. However, this date primarily applies to viewers in the Americas. Due to a prime-time release strategy, many other regions will technically get access in the early hours of November 27.
The first four episodes will be released simultaneously around the world, which translates to different local times. The global release is set for 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) / 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on November 26.
Here are the key release times for different regions:

The Complete Three-Volume Release Plan
Netflix is dividing the final season’s eight episodes into three separate releases over the holidays. This structure means fans will not be able to binge the entire season at once.
The full release calendar is as follows:
Volume 1 (November 26)
- Episode 1: “The Crawl”
- Episode 2: “The Vanishing of โฆ” (full title withheld as a spoiler)
- Episode 3: “The Turnbow Trap”
- Episode 4: “Sorcerer”
Volume 2 (December 25)
- Episode 5: “Shock Jock”
- Episode 6: “Escape From Camazotz”
- Episode 7: “The Bridge”
Volume 3/Finale (December 31)

What to Expect in the Final Season
Stranger Things 5 picks up in the fall of 1987, several months after the devastating events of Season 4. The town of Hawkins is severely damaged and under a strict military quarantine. The core group of heroes is determined to find and stop Vecna for good.
“I think what’s unique about this season is that it starts a little bit in chaos because our heroes ultimately lost at the end of Season 4,” series co-creator Ross Duffer said. “This season is sprinting from the start.”
Eleven is once again in hiding, hunted by a government task force led by a new character, Dr. Kay, played by Linda Hamilton. The season will finally reveal the true nature of the Upside Down and explore Will Byers’ enduring connection to the evil that took him in the first season, bringing the story full circle.
The main cast, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, and Finn Wolfhard, all return for this last adventure. They are joined by Jamie Campbell Bower as the powerful villain Vecna, who is now more threatening than ever.
