The HBO series continues building its ensemble for the upcoming French-set installment with two new additions joining previously announced stars like Helena Bonham Carter and Steve Coogan.

The guest list for The White Lotus Season 4 keeps getting longer. HBO has added Ari Graynor and newcomer Dylan Ennis to the growing ensemble of Mike White’s Emmy-winning anthology series .

Graynor, known for her recent role as defense attorney Leslie Abramson in Netflix’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, will appear alongside Ennis, a recent London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) graduate who is set to make his television debut in the upcoming Channel 4 series Pierre .

They join a stacked cast that already includes Helena Bonham Carter, Steve Coogan, Sandra Bernhard, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, and AJ Michalka . Casting is reportedly still ongoing for the fourth season.

What We Know About the New Cast Members

Ari Graynor brings extensive television and film experience to the series. Beyond her role in the Menendez brothers project, she starred as a series regular in I’m Dying Up Here and Surface, and appeared in Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty . Film audiences may recognize her from Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Whip It, The Disaster Artist, and Mystic River . Her first notable on-screen role came years ago playing Meadow Soprano’s college flatmate in the landmark HBO series The Sopranos.

Dylan Ennis arrives with less screen experience but significant potential. The young actor of French and Jamaican heritage could play a local character in the French-set season . His casting follows a pattern The White Lotus has established of introducing breakout talent. Previous seasons launched actors like Leo Woodall and Haley Lu Richardson into greater stardom .

According to sources, Graynor’s character may be paired with previously announced cast member Chris Messina, though specific character details remain under wraps .

France Becomes the New Backdrop

Season 4 moves the action to France, marking the first time the series will film outside the Four Seasons hotel properties . While previous seasons shot at Four Seasons locations in Hawaii, Italy, and Thailand, HBO did not renew its partnership with the chain for the upcoming installment .

The primary filming location will be the Chรขteau de La Messardiรจre in Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera . The 19th-century palace sits on 32 acres of land with pine trees, cypress, and jasmine. It offers five restaurants, a spa, and beach access via Rolls-Royce transfer .

Production will also likely include scenes in Paris, though the season will mainly unfold along the French Riviera . Some reports suggest the Cannes Film Festival could factor into the storyline, which would fit with the glamorous French locations .

Behind the Scenes Changes

Mike White serves as creator, writer, and director for the season, with David Bernad and Mark Kamine executive producing . White has been balancing work on the series with his return to Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans, which airs February 25, 2026 on CBS and Paramount+ .

In a recent interview, White admitted he has not yet started writing the script for Season 4. He plans to begin scouting locations after his Survivor appearance .

One significant behind-the-scenes change involves composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer, who created the show’s iconic theme music. He confirmed he will not return for Season 4, telling The New York Times that his working relationship with White had been a “struggle” from the beginning . White responded on Howard Stern’s show, describing creative differences and saying de Veer “didn’t want to go through the process with me” .

What to Expect From the New Season

Following the show’s established format, Season 4 will follow a group of hotel guests and employees over the course of one week at a White Lotus property. Their stories may run parallel or intersect, and as always, some form of mystery or death will likely unfold .

The season will introduce an entirely new group of characters, though some speculation exists about possible returning faces. Jon Gries (Greg) and Natasha Rothwell (Belinda) survived previous seasons and could potentially appear, though nothing has been confirmed .

When Will Season 4 Release?

Filming for The White Lotus Season 4 is scheduled to take place between late April and the end of October 2026 . Given this timeline and the two-plus-year gap between Seasons 2 and 3, the fourth installment will likely arrive in 2027 at the earliest . Season 3 premiered in February 2026, so viewers can expect a similar wait for the French getaway.
