The Disney+ K-drama A Shop for Killers wrapped up its second season on August 12, 2026, with a finale that left viewers with plenty to process. The eight-episode season brought the war between Murthehelp and the global criminal organization Babylon to a temporary halt. The ending answered many questions about the fates of Jeong Ji An (Kim Hye Jun) and her uncle Jeong Jin Man (Lee Dong Wook), while also setting the stage for what could come next.
The Final Battle Against Babylon
The season 2 finale delivered a high-stakes confrontation between Murthehelp and Babylon. Throughout the season, Ji An transformed from a young woman thrown into her uncle’s dangerous world into a capable leader who could make her own decisions. Jin Man, who had faked his death with help from police officer Park Jin Woo (Kim Yoon Sung), spent the season infiltrating Babylon and stealing their crucial server data.
The final episodes saw Jin Man deliberately staying in Babylon’s custody as part of a larger plan. Meanwhile, Ji An and the Code Reds worked to expose Kusanagi Jin‘s (Jung Yun Ha) lies. Kusanagi had manipulated Q (Hyun Ri) into believing that Jin Man killed her brother J (Masaki Okada). When Ji An showed everyone a recording of J‘s actual death, Q learned the truth and turned against Kusanagi.
Did Ji An and Jin Man Survive?
Yes, both Jeong Ji An and Jeong Jin Man survived the finale. After the battle, they reunited and faced Chen (Yoo Ji Tae), the mysterious leader of Babylon. Rather than destroying Babylon completely, Jin Man negotiated a ceasefire. Murthehelp agreed not to leak Babylon’s stolen data in exchange for peace. Chen accepted but warned that there would be consequences if the agreement was broken.
The ending showed Ji An fully stepping into her role as Murthehelp’s leader. In the final scene, she told Jin Man, “Now, listen carefully, Jeong Jin Man”. This line confirmed that Ji An no longer depended on her uncle and was ready to determine her own path. She had come a long way from being someone who needed protection to becoming the one making the decisions.
The Sacrifices of Pasin and Brother
The path to victory came at a heavy cost. Pasin Kradek (Kim Min) was forced to betray Murthehelp after Kusanagi captured him in Thailand and threatened his son, Atti. He was tortured and had a tracker implanted in his body before being sent back to South Korea.
After Jin Man rescued Atti, Pasin got the chance to help Ji An escape. He freed Ji An and Brother (Lee Tae Young) and stayed behind in an emergency tunnel to buy them time. Pasin killed L in the fight but was already seriously injured from gunshot wounds. He pulled the pin on his grenade and died, taking down several enemies with him.
Brother also sacrificed himself to help Ji An escape. Q shot him, but he still managed to push Ji An into the next area of the tunnel and seal the gate behind him before dying. His final act ensured Ji An could survive.
Kusanagi’s Defeat
Kusanagi Jin met her end at Ji An‘s hands. Throughout the season, Kusanagi grew increasingly desperate to climb the ranks of Babylon. She had Bale kill J and then lied to Q that Jin Man was responsible. When her manipulation was exposed, she found herself isolated and abandoned.
In the finale, Kusanagi made one final attempt to kill Jin Man, but Ji An shot her, ending her reign of terror. Ji An refused to let Jin Man negotiate with Chen while Kusanagi was still a threat. Her death marked the end of the main conflict of the season.
The Ceasefire Agreement
The season ended with a fragile peace between Murthehelp and Babylon. Rather than completely destroying Babylon, Jin Man chose to negotiate. The two organizations agreed to a temporary ceasefire, with both sides suffering major losses. Q was allowed to walk away after helping Jin Man escape. This setup leaves plenty of room for the story to continue if a third season happens.
Ji An emerged as the new decision-maker for Murthehelp. She had proven she could lead the organization on her own. The ending showed Jin Man asking Ji An what their next step should be, highlighting that she was now in charge.
