“The fact that the controversy was sparked by friendly fire is a cause for pause.”
BLACKPINK Jennie‘s smoking controversy has sparked speculation.
On July 9, media outlets wondered whether the controversial footage in which Jennie was seen smoking was uploaded by accident.
Previously, scandal erupted when a scene of Jennie smoking a vape indoors was included in a now-deleted YouTube video. In the video, Jennie seems to be smoking with little regard for the makeup artists who were working directly in front of her.
In a news report, one media outlet asked how could a channel as large as Jennie’s make such a costly mistake.
The fact that her smoking controversy was sparked by friendly fire is a cause for pause. The fact that a channel that is watched worldwide would include footage of her smoking indoors is causing audiences to do a double-take.
