An old podcast interview of actress Anupama Parameswaran has gone viral on the internet. In the clip, she is seen saying that her co-star Dhruv Vikram decides what pictures she and the film team post on social media. In the same interview, Anupama also spoke about how Dhruv followed a very strict diet while filming. She shared that she used to eat traditional meals like sambar sadam, fried rice, and butter chicken while Dhruv and Rajisha ate salmon and sauteed vegetables.
She mentioned that she started eating salmon with them because she also liked healthy food. She said:
“I am not particular about food. He was on a strict diet, very, very strict diet. I used to feel paavam. This boy, he was on a strict diet. As was Rajisha. And I will be sitting and eating, like sambar sadam, and nice fried rice, and butter chicken, and all. They’ll eat salmon, sauteed veggies, and all of that. But because I like healthy food too, it’s okay. I started eating salmon with them.”

The podcast clip has resurfaced days after Anupama gave an interview on Dhanya Varma’s YouTube channel where she opened up about a toxic past relationship. She described her ex-boyfriend as “narcissistic” and said she suffered control and abuse for about two years.
Anupama said she was not allowed to promote her film Dragon, one of the biggest hits of her career. She also revealed that she had to drop many projects because of her partner’s interference. She shared details about how the relationship moved very fast:
“By the time they start controlling you, they would get attached to you to an extent where, after the first couple of dates, you’re taken to their house. You’re meeting their family, having lunch with them. And in three months, the person is talking about engagement.”
She also compared her ex-boyfriend’s behaviour to the character played by Dhruv’s father, actor Vikram, in the movie Anniyan. She described how the person would switch between being loving and being cruel, similar to the split personalities in the film.

Dhruv also spoke about how he deals with public attention:
“You protect yourself in a bubble with the people you love as much as you can. I think the support that I have had has been very important to me.”
