The second episode of BEEF Season 2 wastes no time turning up the heat. After watching the first episode, viewers saw Ashley (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin (Charles Melton) catch their boss Josh (Oscar Isaac) and his wife Lindsay (Carey Mulligan) in a violent fight. The young couple walked away with video proof. Now, they decide to use it.
Episode 2, titled “A New Starting Point For Further Desires,” shows everyone playing dirty. Nobody is innocent. Every character wants something, and they are ready to break the rules to get it. The episode dropped on April 16, 2026, on Netflix along with all eight episodes of the new season.
Ashley and Austin Turn the Screws
The episode starts right where the first one ended. Ashley and Austin are standing at Josh and Lindsay’s door. They walk inside with the video of the fight. At first, Austin tries to be polite. He talks about Ashley getting a better job at the country club. But Lindsay is rude. She tells Ashley to find work at a motel.
That is when Ashley pulls out her phone. She shows the video to the rich couple. Josh and Lindsay freeze. They know this video can destroy their lives. They immediately ask what it takes to make the video disappear.
The deal works in Ashley’s favor. She gets a promotion at the Monte Vista country club. The new job pays $45,000 a year. It also comes with health insurance and ten days of paid vacation. Ashley is thrilled. But Austin is not.
On the drive home, Austin tells Ashley they should have asked for more. He feels left out. He helped pull off the blackmail but got nothing for himself. Ashley reminds him that she needs the health insurance for a cyst she has. Austin agrees to drop it, but you can see the frustration on his face.
Josh Realizes He Is Trapped
Back at their house, Lindsay tells Josh she warned him. She knows Ashley will not stop. Lindsay wants Josh to quit his job, sell the house, and start fresh. Josh thinks he can control the situation by giving Ashley what she wants.
The next morning, Ashley comes to Josh’s office. She pretends to delete the video from her phone. But Josh is smart. He knows she saved a copy to the cloud. Ashley does not deny it. Josh realizes his wife was right. He is trapped.
Later, Josh finds out that Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh-jung) is already looking for a new general manager to replace him. This news hits him hard. To make things worse, he loses money gambling with famous swimmer Michael Phelps. Josh has to sell his expensive belongings to pay back his debt.
Lindsay Plays Her Own Game
While Josh deals with work problems, Lindsay looks for attention elsewhere. She finds out that Woosh, the new tennis pro, sends flirty texts to every woman at the club. He uses these messages to sell expensive Korean skincare products. Lindsay feels foolish for thinking he liked her.
But Lindsay is not someone who takes rejection well. She unblocks her ex-boyfriend Desmond and sends him a filtered photo. She edits out her wrinkles. Desmond immediately wants to meet her. Lindsay panics. She cannot show up looking older than her picture.
She meets Woosh for a tennis lesson. He tells her about a skin clinic in South Korea called Trochos. The treatment is expensive. Lindsay tries to get a discount. When Woosh says no, she blackmails him. She threatens to report him for misconduct with female members. Woosh agrees to pay for her treatment.
Ashley Pushes Austin Into a Lie
At the country club, Ashley shows Chairwoman Park around the gym. The owner keeps finding problems with the equipment. Ashley mentions that her boyfriend Austin works as a trainer. Chairwoman Park is not interested until Ashley says Austin is half-Korean.
Chairwoman Park reveals that her husband needs a physical therapist. Without thinking, Ashley lies. She says Austin is a licensed physical therapist. He is not. Austin used to play college football, but he has no license.
When Ashley gets home, she tells Austin about the opportunity. Austin says there is no way he can get a license that fast. Ashley tells him not to worry. She has a plan. She asks him to use a fake license.
Josh Starts His Own Scheme
Josh has been struggling with money. He gets a call from his sister about their late mother’s hospital bills. His finances are a mess. He has debt collectors sending letters to his mother’s old address.
Josh decides to fight back. He comes up with a plan to steal money from the country club. He will create fake invoices for “miscellaneous services” under his dead mother’s name. The payments will go into a joint account he controls. He tells Lindsay they can use the money to finally open their bed-and-breakfast.
Ashley walks into Josh’s office with the fake physical therapist license for Austin. Josh looks at it and puts it in a file. Before she leaves, he gives her a stack of invoices to mail. One of them has his mother’s name on it. Ashley does not know she is helping Josh commit fraud.

The Episode Ends With Blood
The final scenes of Episode 2 set up major trouble.
Austin arrives at Chairwoman Park’s rental home for the fake physical therapy session. He waits outside, nervous. Ashley calls him to say everything will be fine. She reminds him they still have the video of Josh and Lindsay if anyone asks questions.
Inside the house, Chairwoman Park is on a video call. She is talking to her husband, Dr. Kim (Song Kang-Ho). Dr. Kim is a famous plastic surgeon in South Korea. He is the same doctor Lindsay just hired for her skin treatment.
The camera pulls back. There is blood on Dr. Kim’s clothes. A patient lies on the table behind him with a deep cut on her face. It looks like he made a mistake during surgery. The patient may be dead. Chairwoman Park stares at the screen in shock.
The game everyone is playing just got very dangerous.
