BESTie are back together as a full group. The four members — Hyeyeon, Uji, Dahye, and Haeryung — announced a reunion on October 17, 2026, the same day their 2013 song “Love Options” marked its 13th anniversary. The decision came after the song climbed back onto South Korean music charts and spread across social media, turning an old album track into a fresh hit.

The group’s last full release was in 2015, and their activities effectively ended in 2018 when their contracts expired. The reunion marks eight years since the members last worked together as a team. A video shared by Dahye on October 16 carried a simple message: “BESTie is reuniting! Please show lots of interest and support.”.

How “Love Options” Came Back

“Love Options” was released on October 17, 2013, as part of BESTie’s early singles. The song did not become a major chart hit at the time. In 2026, short-form content on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts brought the track back into view, and listeners began streaming it in large numbers.

The song entered Melon’s TOP100 chart and later climbed into the 60s on Melon’s daily chart. On YouTube Music’s popular songs chart, it reached No. 12 in South Korea, No. 17 in Taiwan, and No. 44 in Vietnam. Earlier in the resurgence, the track also hit No. 1 on Shazam in South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand.

The timing gave the reunion announcement an extra layer of meaning. October 17 is both the song’s release date and the day the group confirmed their return.

What Each Member Has Done Since 2018

The four members stayed active in entertainment during the group’s break, in different fields.

Hyeyeon built a career as a trot singer. Uji established herself as a musical actress. Dahye appeared on the dating reality show “EXchange 3” and has worked as an influencer and solo artist. Haeryung continued working as an actress.

That spread of activities made a full-group return less obvious. Each member had a separate path, and the chart resurgence gave them a shared reason to come back together.

A Debut That Started in 2013

BESTie debuted in 2013 with the single “Pitapat” as a four-member group. Their catalog includes “Thank U Very Much,” “Hot Baby,” and “Excuse Me” — upbeat pop tracks that defined their sound. The group’s final album arrived in 2015, and the members went their separate ways after their contracts ended in 2018.

“Love Options” was part of that original run. Its return to the charts more than a decade later placed the group’s music in front of an audience that largely did not hear it the first time.

Fans React to the News

Reactions to the reunion announcement were immediate. Comments on the members’ social media posts included messages like “I love you BESTie,” “For real? Scream,” and “I really waited for you, unnies”. International fans shared similar responses, with one comment reading, “MY DREAMS COME TRUE! Ugly crying RIGHT NOW… BESTIE IS SO BACK”. Another reaction described the news as “surreal” and said the group “look amazing”.

The reunion announcement followed a video teaser from Dahye on October 16, where she told followers about the song’s chart position and said she had “news to share” tied to the release date. The full group video arrived the next day.
