Brad Pitt is facing new legal trouble. A California skincare company called Beau D has sued the actor over his brand’s name change.
The Malibu-based company, which sells intimate skincare products for men, filed the lawsuit on May 28, 2026. The company claims Pitt’s Beau Domaine brand name is too similar to its own and could confuse customers.
Three Failed Settlement Attempts Before Lawsuit
Beau D founder Brandon Palas said his team tried to solve this without going to court. They reached out to Pitt’s team three separate times to discuss a settlement.
“We offered Beau Domaine three private, pre-litigation settlement options, in good faith,” Palas told RadarOnline.
The options included: Beau Domaine changing its name, paying Beau D for the right to keep using the name while helping differentiate the two brands, or paying for Beau D to rebrand instead. None of these talks led to an agreement.
The company is now seeking more than $75,000 in damages. Beau D also wants a court order to stop Pitt’s brand from using the Beau Domaine name permanently.
How The Name Dispute Started
Pitt launched his skincare line in 2022 with the name Le Domaine. He created the luxury brand with the Perrin family, who own a famous French winery. The products include cleansers, serums, and moisturizers focused on skin health and aging.
In 2024, Pitt changed the brand name from Le Domaine to Beau Domaine. This is where the legal problem started.
Beau D has been using its name since 2020 โ two years before Pitt even entered the skincare business. The company started with a luxury lip balm and a product called D. Cream, which is designed for male intimate areas.
Small Brand Says It Needs Protection
Palas said this lawsuit is not about getting attention. He said it is about protecting what his small company has built over several years.
โThis isnโt about publicity or punishment,โ Palas told AirMail. โItโs about protecting the integrity of what weโve spent years building and ensuring independent brands have the right to grow without being overshadowed or diluted.โ
He also told RadarOnline: โWe honor innovation, creativity and fair competition across the beauty and wellness industry. However, all brands must operate with respect for existing trademarks and consumer clarity.โ
The Beau D website has bold marketing, including a cursor shaped like a sperm and products with direct names. One of their products called โcrรจme p*nisโ is meant to โput power in your package,โ Palas told AirMail. He explained the cream โwill help to bring plumpness to that skin, inspire collagen production, and slow down the process of aging.โ
No Response From Pitt Yet
Brad Pitt has not publicly responded to the lawsuit. His company, Beau Domaine, has also not filed any official legal response in court as of now.
Pitt is no stranger to courtrooms. The 62-year-old actor recently got a small win in his long fight with ex-wife Angelina Jolie over their French winery, Chรขteau Miraval. On May 20, 2026, a judge ordered a former lawyer connected to the case to give more testimony. The judge found that attorneys had wrongly blocked 33 questions during an earlier deposition.
However, Jolie also scored a victory earlier in May 2026. A Los Angeles judge rejected Pitt’s request to see her private emails, ruling he did not prove they were not protected by attorney-client privilege.
Pitt and Jolie finalized their divorce in December 2024 after eight years of legal battles. Two of their children, Zahara and Shiloh, have already dropped Pitt from their last names. Maddox, their oldest son, also filed in May 2026 to remove Pitt from his legal name.

What Happens Next
The court will now decide whether Beau Domaine’s name is too close to Beau D’s trademark. If Beau D wins, Pitt may have to change his brand’s name again or pay significant damages. If Pitt wins, he can keep using the Beau Domaine name for his skincare products.
Pitt entered the beauty market at a time when many celebrities are launching their own skincare and makeup lines. His brand focuses on high-end products with higher price points. The legal dispute adds another layer of complication to his business venture.
