BTS member Jungkook recently addressed fans directly during a candid Weverse livestream, asking them to stop telling him when to sleep. The singer, who had just finished two sold-out concerts in Madrid, made it clear that he will decide his own schedule. His honest response came after many viewers repeatedly urged him to go to bed during the late-night broadcast.

The BTS star went live shortly after the group wrapped up their performances at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid on June 26 and 27. Instead of resting after the shows, Jungkook chose to spend time with fans, enjoying a beer, watching videos, and chatting casually. The livestream, which lasted for several hours, quickly drew a large audience from around the world.

Jungkook Explains His Sleep Struggles and Asks for Understanding

During the livestream, Jungkook noticed that many viewers kept telling him to go to sleep because it was late. He responded firmly but politely, explaining that he has difficulty sleeping and prefers to decide his own schedule.

“I’m sorry, but please don’t tell me to go to bed. Don’t tell me to go to bed. I’ll sleep when I decide to. I appreciate that you’re worried about me, and I know you’re saying it because you care, but I’m not sleepy. I’m just not sleepy. What can I do? Even if I want to sleep, I’m not very good at it. I have to take medication to sleep. I just can’t fall asleep.”

The Golden Maknae further explained that staying up late is normal for him and that he was not overdoing it. He told fans that he usually does not feel sleepy until around 2 p.m. the next day. Jungkook emphasized that he stays up because he wants to, and he asked fans to stop telling him to go to bed.

Fans Support Jungkook’s Firm Stance on Personal Boundaries

Many fans quickly expressed their support for Jungkook online after the livestream. They called out those who made the comments, saying the singer is an adult who can make his own choices. Several fans pointed out that Jungkook chose to spend his free time with them after the concert and deserved respect rather than demands.

One fan wrote, “It hurts to see Jungkook having to tell yall time and time again to just let him do what he wants to do. He’s calling yall out for a new thing every day and it’s tiring. He’s a grown man.” Another fan added, “He’s not a kid, he has his reasons, mind your business and be grateful he chooses to spend his time with us and share his thoughts and feelings.”

This was not the first time the BTS member had to ask fans to respect his boundaries. In a previous livestream, he had told viewers not to tell him what to do while he was drinking and chatting with friends.

Jungkook Playfully Responds to Marriage Proposals and Other Topics

Besides addressing the sleep comments, the BTS singer also handled other fan interactions with humor. When fans asked him to marry them, he laughed and declined. “Don’t say that, marry me. I still don’t have plans to get married!!! Tell that to Yoongi! Ask Yoongi hyung to marry you!” he joked, referring to fellow member Suga.

The response referenced the long-running “Yoongi, marry me” joke that started in 2018 when a fan asked Suga to marry them. Jungkook also asked fans not to request that he speak English, saying they could try learning Korean instead.

The livestream covered many other topics, including Jungkook’s excitement for the new Spider-Man movie and his thoughts on a dance challenge he filmed with J-Hope. The singer praised J-Hope’s dancing skills and shared behind-the-scenes details about filming the TikTok video.

Previous Incidents Highlight Ongoing Privacy and Boundary Issues

Jungkook has previously spoken out about fans crossing personal boundaries. Earlier in June, he warned fans against visiting his home, asking them to respect his privacy. The singer also addressed the use of AI to create inappropriate edits involving him, calling the behavior “creepy.”

The BTS member has been consistently open with fans about his struggles and frustrations, including the pressures of being an idol and dealing with intense public scrutiny. His recent livestream showed once again that he values his connection with fans but will not hesitate to set limits when needed.

BTS Continues ARIRANG World Tour Across Europe

The BTS member’s candid livestream came right after the group’s two shows in Madrid. The concerts marked the start of the European leg of their ARIRANG World Tour. After Spain, the group will perform in Brussels, London, Munich, and Paris with a total of 10 shows in Europe.

Jungkook mentioned during the livestream that he will not be able to return to Korea until after mid-July. The group’s tour is expected to continue drawing massive crowds across the continent as fans eagerly watch them perform.
