The music video for IU’s song “Love Wins All,” featuring BTS’ Taehyung (V), will be showcased at the 13th Muju Film Festival on June 6, 2025. The short film-style MV, directed by award-winning filmmaker Um Tae-hwa, will be screened at the Muju Traditional Life Culture Experience Center at 5 pm KST.

Released in January 2024, the music video quickly gained global attention for its emotional storytelling and cinematic visuals. It tells the story of a couple surviving in a dystopian world—IU as a woman who has lost her voice and Taehyung as a man who can only see through one eye. Their characters find an old camcorder that allows them to see each other without their disabilities, adding depth to the narrative.

The MV broke 10 million views in just one day after its release. Fans praised its artistic direction, powerful acting, and IU’s moving vocals. The song itself was a commercial success, achieving a perfect all-kill on South Korean music charts and peaking at No. 25 on the Billboard Global 200.

Following the festival announcement, fans flooded social media with excitement. Many called the recognition “well-deserved” for the MV’s high-quality production and emotional impact.

“I’m so ecstatic and proud that Love Wins All will be showcased to the gp at the film festival—a well-deserved recognition! The mv is pure cinema! It deserves every award for its breathtaking performance, stunning cinematography, and those beautiful, emotional vocals. Every time I watch it, I’m still moved to tears…”

*”The actors’ acting was phenomenal, the mv itself is a cultural reset, a 5-minute short movie that changes people’s lives, it deserves more flowers than it’s received,”* wrote another fan.

“IU’s ‘Love Wins All’ music video starring Taehyung will be screened at the 13th Muju Film Festival on June 6. Around 30 thousand people attend the cinema festival every year. A piece of art that deserves all the recognition and praise,” read a tweet.

Some fans also expressed hope that Taehyung’s other cinematic music video, “Winter Ahead,” would receive similar recognition in the future.

Originally titled “Love Wins,” the song was renamed before release after facing backlash for potentially referencing the LGBTQ+ rights slogan. IU’s label, Edam Entertainment, clarified that the change was made to “respect and support everyone who loves in their various ways.”

The song is the lead single from IU’s sixth Korean EP, The Winning, marking her first major solo comeback since 2021’s Winter Sleep. Meanwhile, Taehyung is set to complete his mandatory military service on June 10, 2025, along with fellow BTS members RM, Jungkook, and Jimin.
