Mike Flanagan has found a clever way to share the episode titles for his upcoming Carrie series. The eight-episode adaptation of Stephen King‘s first novel will arrive on Prime Video on October 7, 2026, and all episodes will drop at once for viewers in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The episode titles were shared through a mock class schedule from the fictional Ewen High School, complete with Carrie White‘s photograph and handwritten name. The schedule lists Carrie as a member of Class 10, and each episode is named after a different school period.

We have a book that fits perfectly into a 90-minute format. We’re talking about a series. Expansion’s essential.”
Stephen King Calls the Series Brilliant
Stephen King has shared his thoughts on the adaptation. He posted on Threads on September 10, 2026:
“Mike Flanagan’s version of CARRIE is brilliant. What it has to say about social media is shocking and true.”
King’s praise matters because he was initially unsure about another Carrie adaptation. Flanagan told TheWrap at the Toronto International Film Festival that King’s first reaction to the idea was also “why?” But after Flanagan pitched his full season plan, King loved it.
Mike Flanagan Has a Three-Season Plan
Flanagan has shared that his ideal version of the series would run for three seasons. He spoke about this at TIFF in an interview with Collider.
“In my dream scenario, I think it’s three seasons. In my dream scenario, I think Carrie has a wonderful three-step arc. It’s a trilogy, really.”
The first season consists of eight episodes and has already been completed. No second or third season has been confirmed by Prime Video at this time.
