What Happened in Clevatess II Episode 3

Episode 3 of Clevatess II, titled “The Duty of the Heroine,” picked up immediately after the events of the previous episode.

Alicia was severely injured after falling into a mine shaft. Clevatess appeared to her in a small form made of dark ichor. He explained that the dark ichor inside her keeps her alive. If she loses it completely, she will die. However, as long as she remains useful to him, he can restore her.

Clevatess told Alicia about his failed attempt to recruit a woman named Nell as a wet nurse for the baby Luna. Nell refused despite her difficult life as a slave. Alicia pointed out that Nell’s refusal was because of the brutality of the bandits controlling her. Clevatess then ordered Alicia to destroy the bandits, known as the Ravens, so Nell could escape. He also told her not to reveal his identity.

Meanwhile, Alicia’s bones started to painfully regenerate because of Clevatess’ influence. The bandits Dagarn and Satch returned and tried to attack the weakened Alicia to find out where the Regalia was. Despite her injuries, Alicia used her combat skills and her ability to heal quickly to fight off several bandits.

In another part of the story, a slave named Carme confronted Nell about her interest in the outside world. The bandit leader Vroko tricked Nell into going to a remote mine tunnel. He accused her of betrayal and ordered his controlled troll, “Betty,” to eat her.

Klen arrived just in time with Luna. He freed Nell from the troll’s stomach and neutralized the stomach acid. Nell was badly injured but still alive. Vroko was surprised by Klen’s abilities and attacked him with his own “magic” – a powder called Arcanacit that controls dark beasts. He also sent the troll after Klen again.

Back at the mine shaft, Alicia was surrounded by bandits. She was tired and outnumbered. She made a bold choice and destroyed the scaffolding she was standing on. Several bandits fell into a lake that was full of Arvensis, which are water dark beasts. In a desperate move, Alicia jumped into the water herself to find Khordhwar’s legendary Regalia called “Stream Splitter” at the bottom. She knew that Clevatess’ ichor would save her from drowning.

About Clevatess II: The Story So Far

Clevatess is based on the manga by Yuji Iwahara. The story follows the titular character, Clevatess (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura), one of the Lords of Dark Beasts. His life changes after he kills a hero named Alicia (voiced by Haruka Shiraishi) and then revives her. He also takes in a humanoid baby named Luna, who is believed to be the world’s last hope.

In season 2, the story moves to a new setting. Clevatess goes undercover at the Divine Academy Solsein in the form of a young boy. Their mission is to find the dark research left behind by a deceased mage named Drel.

The second season continues right after the events of the first. After Alicia defeated General Drel and the war between Heiden and Boreate ended, a “secret room” left by Drel became the focus of a three-way summit. Many envoys, including Klen, who now works as a private tutor for Luna, head to the Solcein Magic School.
