What Happened in Episode 1
The first episode, titled “Magical Villa โ What Would a Manga Hero Do in This Situation?”, introduced the main character Ai Yasumi. She is a first-year high school student living on Izu Oshima, a remote island south of Tokyo.
Ai spends her days reading manga and escaping into the stories created by her favorite artist, Hoshi no Rei (also called Yasuno-sensei). Her imaginary friend Pokota, a character from her favorite manga Robota and Pokota, is always by her side.
During class, Ai’s teacher Ms. Teshima confiscates her manga and dismisses the entire art form. This leaves Ai feeling down. She later learns that Hoshi no Rei will make a rare appearance at the COMITIA doujinshi event in Tokyo. She decides to travel to the mainland to meet her idol.
At the convention, Ai discovers a shocking truth. Her idol Hoshi no Rei is actually her strict teacher Ms. Teshima. This moment changes everything for Ai. It becomes the starting point for her dream to become a manga artist herself.
The episode sets up the main conflict: Ai must learn to create manga while dealing with a teacher who does not support her passion.

Ai must figure out how to start making her own stories while dealing with Ms. Teshima, who agrees to mentor her on one condition: Ai must keep manga creation as a hobby and focus on schoolwork.
The series balances quiet moments of daily life on Izu Oshima with the pressure of artistic creation. Viewers can expect to see Ai take her first steps into the manga world, learning about drawing, developing plots, and meeting deadlines.
