The fifth episode of Dutton Ranch on Paramount+ brought back familiar faces and introduced some new ones. The episode, titled “Peaceful Find Peace,” aired on June 5, 2026, and delivered major story changes including a character death and new job paths for Beth and Rip. Main Cast Returning for Episode 5
Kelly Reilly returns as Beth Dutton. In this episode, Beth makes a bold business move by offering her services to rival ranch owner Beulah Jackson. She asks for 20 percent of the profits and plans to leave after five years.
Cole Hauser plays Rip Wheeler. Rip takes the job as foreman at the 10-Petal ranch after their herd was lost to disease. His first day does not go smoothly, but he ends up firing the previous foreman Chet by the end.
Finn Little returns as Carter. His character faces serious trouble this episode. Carter skips school to work with local rancher Dwight. When police arrive at Dwight’s land, Dwight runs away and later Carter finds him shot dead outside his jaguar cage.
The Jackson Family and Ranchers
Annette Bening plays Beulah Jackson, the head of the rival ranch. She hires Rip as her foreman and later accepts Beth’s business proposal. Beulah tells her associate Joaquin that people with secrets can be useful.
Jai Courtney appears as Rob-Will Jackson, Beulah’s son who was supposed to be in rehab. He shows up at the end of the episode, which signals more trouble coming.
Juan Pablo Raba plays Joaquin, Beulah’s trusted employee. He gets surprised when Beulah tells him she hired Beth.
Ranch Hands and Supporting Characters
Hart Denton plays Chet, the temporary foreman at 10-Petal. Rip fires him in front of the whole crew. Chet gets angry and makes threats before leaving.
Natalie Alyn Lind plays Oreana. She goes on a date with Carter at Dwight’s animal compound.
Ray McKinnon plays Dwight, a local rancher with exotic animals. He helps Carter learn ranch work. Police shoot and kill Dwight during a raid after finding out he committed insurance fraud.
Marc Menchaca plays Zachariah. He shares a deep conversation with Beth in this episode.
J.R. Villarreal plays Azul, a supporting ranch hand.
Other Episode 5 Appearances
Ed Harris appears as Everett McKinney, the ranch veterinarian.
Morgan Wade continues her role as the bartender in Rio Paloma who sees everything happening in town.
