The long wait for Euphoria Season 3 is finally over, and fans are spotting a surprising face among the new cast members. Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has joined the HBO drama, and he is not just making a quick cameo. His character, G, plays a meaningful part in the new episodes that just started streaming.

Lynch, known for his powerful playing style and memorable interviews, steps into the dark world of the show alongside stars like Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney. The third season jumped five years ahead, moving the characters out of high school and into more dangerous adult situations. This new setting creates the perfect space for Lynch to show what he can do as an actor.

Why Marshawn Lynch Said Yes to the Show

For Lynch, the choice to join Euphoria Season 3 came down to a personal connection. The late Angus Cloud, who played Fezco in earlier seasons, was a big reason Lynch agreed to take the role. Cloud, who died in 2023, came from the same area in Oakland, California as Lynch.

“That was like a huge deciding factor for me when this opportunity came about,” Lynch said. “It’s an opportunity for me to keep that Oakland legacy thing going within the biggest show in the mother* world.”

Lynch wanted to be taken seriously as an actor. He told the New York Post that he worked hard to hold his own on set. “I was trying to hold my own [and] trying not to be the motherfer that they’re waiting on to get your s together,” he said. “I wanted them to take me seriously … but at the same time, I still am who I am. So, you get a lot of that [in the show].” He also made it clear that he had fun playing the part.

Who Does Marshawn Lynch Play in Euphoria Season 3?

Lynch plays a character named G. G works as an enforcer for Alamo, a powerful strip club owner played by Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje. Alamo runs five clubs and lives a life of luxury that includes gold guns, a big mansion, and a hot tub.

In the first episode of Euphoria Season 3, G shows up when Rue (Zendaya) finds herself in serious trouble. After a party at Alamo’s place, G takes Rue away for punishment. She has to ask for forgiveness while Alamo points a gun at an apple near her head. G stands nearby, ready to act. The scene ends with Rue surviving, but viewers understand just how dangerous Alamo and his crew really are.

Lynch’s character is not the main focus of the first episode, but his presence leaves a mark. The show plans to explore more of G in future episodes as Rue gets deeper into Alamo’s world.

New Faces Joining the Cast Alongside Lynch

Euphoria Season 3 brought in many new actors. Sharon Stone plays a showrunner named Patty Lance, who hires Lexi (Maude Apatow) as her assistant. Rosalía, the Grammy-winning singer, takes on the role of a stripper named Magick. Natasha Lyonne also joins the cast, though her character details remain under wraps.

Other new additions include Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Sam Trammell, and Trisha Paytas. Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje appears as a series regular playing the kingpin Alamo. Asante Blackk plays Kidd, a runner for the drug operation.

The Season 3 Storyline

The third season picks up five years after the events of Season 2. Rue finds herself in Mexico, trying to pay off debts to her former drug dealer Laurie. Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi) are now married. Jules (Hunter Schafer) works as a sugar baby. The characters have left high school behind, but their problems have only grown bigger.

The show paid tribute to actors who passed away between seasons. An “in memoriam” section in the end credits of the first episode honored Angus Cloud, Eric Dane (who died in February 2026), and executive producer Kevin Turen. Dane managed to film his scenes for the new season before his death.
