When asked about favorite artists he’s collaborated with musically, instead of saying T.O.P‘s name directly, he referred to him as “the friend who played Thanos.”
This response sparked discussion among fans, with some suggesting that a crew member might have subtly prompted Yang Dong Geun to avoid mentioning the former BIGBANG member. The actor then shifted the conversation to other cast members.
T.O.P‘s character, Thanos, who joined the game after financial losses, became a fan favorite. Despite this, the cast and crew appear to be avoiding mentioning him, possibly due to his past controversies.
In 2017, T.O.P received a suspended 10-month prison sentence for marijuana use. This incident also resulted in his discharge from military service and a decrease in his public presence.
