The third season of Euphoria ended with a lot of blood and broken trust. Faye (Chloe Cherry) played a major part in the final events. She went from being a quiet houseguest to a key player who turned on Rue (Zendaya) . When the DEA raided Laurie’s (Martha Kelly) compound, Faye was right in the middle of the chaos. She did not die. Instead, she escaped with her boyfriend right before the feds moved in.
Faye Turns on Rue During the Robbery Attempt
The finale episode, titled In God We Trust, picked up right after a tense robbery. Rue and Faye broke into the basement safe at Laurie’s house while Wayne (Toby Wallace) , Faye’s boyfriend, slept nearby. Rue promised there was cash inside. But Faye opened the safe and found nothing valuable.
Faye immediately decided to protect herself. She screamed to wake Wayne up and told him what Rue was doing. “Faye decides to turn on her and screams to wake Wayne up,” according to recaps of the episode. This betrayal put Rue in serious danger.
Rue managed to hurt Wayne and knock Faye out before running away. Wayne chased Rue with a shotgun. A gunfight broke out outside the house. Rue was nearly caught by one of Wayne’s men on horseback. The man used a lasso to catch her feet. G (Marshawn Lynch) , watching from a distance, shot the man and helped Rue escape.
The DEA Raid Happens Right After
Everything fell apart for Laurie very quickly. The DEA showed up to raid her property because of the information Rue had been giving them. Officers swarmed Laurie’s headquarters. They also stopped a van carrying her drugs.
But Faye and Wayne were smart enough to leave just before the police arrived. Reports state they “escape the compound moments before the feds move in.” They fled on horseback and later stole a car on the highway to get away.
Laurie chose to end her own life instead of going to prison. She tied a cable around her neck and jumped from the roof of one of her buildings. Her entire drug operation was destroyed by the DEA that night.
Alamo Betrays Rue With Fentanyl Pills
After the escape, Rue returned to Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) , another drug boss. Alamo gave her painkillers called Percocet to help with her injuries. He also gave her a whole bottle of pills to take with her.
But Alamo secretly knew Rue was working with the DEA. He decided to get rid of her. The pills he gave Rue were laced with fentanyl, the same powerful drug that killed many people in the show’s world.
Rue later went to her sponsor Ali’s (Colman Domingo) house. While Ali slept, Rue took the pills Alamo gave her. She overdosed and died on Ali’s couch. Ali found her body the next morning. He tested the pills and confirmed they contained fentanyl.
Where Faye Ends Up After the Raid
The show confirmed that Faye survives the DEA raid. She and Wayne were seen hitchhiking on a highway after escaping. They stole a car from a stranger to continue their run from the law.
The series did not show Faye getting arrested or killed. She simply left the story by driving away with her boyfriend. This means Faye is still alive at the end of the series. She faced no punishment for betraying Rue or for her involvement in the drug business.
