He and four friends faced 100 Indiana State Police troopers in a 12-hour challenge. The prize was $500,000. The rules were simple. MrBeast and his team had to avoid capture for 12 hours. If they succeeded, they kept the money. The 12-Hour Challenge at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center
The challenge took place at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, a facility owned by the Indiana National Guard. This location is often used for military and police training exercises. It has a mock urban environment with buildings, roads, and other structures that made it perfect for a large-scale search operation.
MrBeast brought four friends along for the challenge: Alison, Tareq, Nolan, and Darius. Each person carried a backpack with $100,000 inside. The prize money was meant for their mothers if they managed to stay free until the end. This personal touch added extra pressure to the game.
The group used camouflage, disguises, and creative hiding spots to stay ahead of the police. At one point, they even hid inside dumpsters to avoid detection. Indiana State Police Capture MrBeast and His Team
The five contestants got a head start before the troopers began their search. With 100 officers covering the area, the hunt quickly became intense. One of the contestants, Darius, was caught within the first 10 minutes. The others kept moving between hiding spots, trying to throw the police off their trail.
As time passed, the officers tightened their search. The group tried several tactics, but the police eventually closed in on everyone. The final members were captured and taken away in a SWAT vehicle. All five had been caught with about 1 hour and 30 minutes still left before the 12-hour limit.
That meant the Indiana State Police won the $500,000 challenge. None of the contestants got to keep the money.
Off-Duty Troopers and Department Compensation

They confirmed that all participating troopers were off-duty and that the production fully compensated the agency for the use of equipment and vehicles.

MrBeast expressed his gratitude to the officers who took part in the video. In the video description, he wrote:

He also shared his excitement about the project on social media. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote:
“We rented a city and offered a real police department $500,000 if they could arrest us by the end of the day in the new video lol”
The video has already pulled in massive numbers. As of Sunday, it had accumulated more than 24 million views. Other sources reported even higher numbers, with some saying the video had gained more than 30 million views.
