BTS‘s Suga was previously caught in a drunk driving scandal. According to various Korean news outlets, the star had been found fallen over in Hannam-dong. A policeman who had been patrolling the area had rushed over to help him when they got a whiff of alcohol on him. They brought him to the nearest station to do a test, where results showed 0.227% alcohol in him. The number is the highest that the public has seen in celebrities caught for drunk driving. The electric scooter that Suga was operating also failed to classify as an electric kickboard, leading to authorities dealing with star using the same laws as that for cars.
Previoulsy, JTBC had obtained CCTV footage on the accident on August 7, 2024.
On August 13, 2024, almost a week after the initial coverage, Yonhap News aired a newly obtained CCTV footage of the incident.
You can see Suga’s vehicle cruising down the main road. The vehicle ducks out of sight for a moment and stops, falling down.

Moments later, the backup car the patrolling officers called in order to take him to the police station arrived on site.
Suga and BigHit Music have both since released statements on the matter, with Suga apologizing for his actions. He is currently reflecting on himself.
