American Pie star Shannon Elizabeth is starting a new chapter by joining OnlyFans, saying she wants to be free from Hollywood’s control over her career.
The 52-year-old actress, famous for playing Nadia in the 1999 comedy classic, announced her decision on April 15, 2026. Her OnlyFans account goes live on April 16, 2026. Elizabeth said she joined the subscription platform because she spent her whole career in Hollywood where other people made the decisions for her.
“I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career,” Elizabeth told People magazine. “This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans.”
The move comes one day after she quietly filed for divorce from her husband Simon Borchert, a South African conservation specialist she married in 2021. Page Six first reported the separation timeline, noting that Elizabeth posted on Facebook about the ocean having a way to “reset everything” before her OnlyFans announcement.

What Shannon Elizabeth Says About Her OnlyFans Decision
Elizabeth explained that she chose OnlyFans because it allows direct connection with her audience. She said she can create content on her own terms without anyone else telling her what to do.
“I’m choosing OnlyFans because it allows me to connect directly with my audience, create on my own terms, and just be free. I really do think this is the future,” she said.
The actress told Page Six that meeting fans at public events reminded her how much their support meant to her throughout her career. She said she missed that energy and wants to bring it back.
“OnlyFans gives me the opportunity to offer something more–a behind the scenes, unfiltered look at my life and a genuine connection that no other platform allows,” she said.
She also made it clear that she remains based in South Africa and continues her charity work through the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation, which helps protect wildlife. She said the foundation stays “incredibly close to my heart” but that now feels like the right time to open up her world to fans.

Her Manager Explains the Move
Andy Bachman, CEO of Creators Inc. and Elizabeth’s manager, supported her decision. He said Elizabeth always enjoyed connecting with her fans and giving back to them.
“Shannon has always been someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with and giving back to her fans, and this allows her to do that in a more direct, meaningful way than ever before,” Bachman told Variety. “It’s a powerful model, and right now, there’s nothing more effective at facilitating that connection than OnlyFans.”
From American Pie to OnlyFans
Elizabeth became a Hollywood sex symbol in the early 2000s. Her role as Nadia, the foreign exchange student in American Pie, made her famous overnight. She also starred in Scary Movie (2000) as Buffy Gilmore, plus other hit films like Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001), Thirteen Ghosts (2001), and Love Actually (2003).
Despite her early success, her acting career never reached the same heights again. She appeared in American Pie 2 and several smaller comedies before stepping back from Hollywood. Her most recent work includes Celebrity Big Brother and Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019).
Elizabeth told Entertainment Tonight in March 2026 that she is grateful for American Pie because “everything I’ve done in my life is because of American Pie.” But she also said people often mistake her for her character. She explained that she is not someone who likes to be naked, even at home, and that she always stays covered up.
Other Stars Who Joined OnlyFans
Elizabeth joins a growing list of celebrities who moved to OnlyFans. Carmen Electra, Bhad Bhabie, Mia Khalifa, and Drea de Matteo from The Sopranos have all created accounts on the platform.
De Matteo went public in August 2025 about how OnlyFans saved her financially. She said the money she made in one month helped her stop her home from going into foreclosure when Hollywood roles stopped coming.
“OnlyFans saved my life, 100%. I can’t believe I’m saying that, but it really did save us,” de Matteo told DailyMail.com. “It saved my home of many years that was very important to us.”
What Fans Can Expect
Elizabeth wrote in her OnlyFans bio, “Welcome to my little corner of the internet! Here you’ll find the side of me that doesn’t make it into movies—more playful, spontaneous, and completely unscripted.”
She plans to share behind-the-scenes content, exclusive photos and videos, and direct messages with subscribers. She said the content will feel personal and unfiltered, offering fans something they cannot get on other social media platforms like Instagram or TikTok.
“This isn’t just content to watch from a distance,” Elizabeth said. “This is for the people who have always shown up for me, and I want them to feel that.”
