The latest episode of ‘Skeleton Knight in Another World’ Season 2 has delivered what many viewers have been waiting for since the series began. Episode 6, titled “The Nature of This World Floats Upon the Dragon King’s Spring,” shows the main character Arc coming closer than ever to breaking the curse that has kept him trapped in a skeleton’s body.
After weeks of side quests and detours, the story finally makes progress on its central mystery. Arc tracks down a hidden spring said to restore his body, confronts the dragon guarding it, briefly turns human again, and then collapses. The episode ends with new questions and a pending meeting with a village elder.
Arc Finds a Mysterious Torii Gate
Episode 6 picks up after the events of the previous episode, where Arc and his companions Ariane, Ponta, and Chiyome got separated following a cave collapse in Liza Village. The new episode moves the story to a location called Lord Crown.
There, Arc spots a massive torii gate — a traditional Japanese gate structure — in unfamiliar territory. The gate’s presence catches his attention because it does not belong in this world. Curious, Arc leaves his companions behind to investigate.
But his decision leads him into unexpected trouble. While exploring near the gate, Arc accidentally steps on Villiers Fim, a dragon king guarding the area. The dragon takes offence and attacks Arc. What started as a mysterious discovery quickly turns into a tense confrontation.
Fortunately, Ariane and Chiyome arrive in time to explain the situation to the dragon and clear up the misunderstanding.
The Hot Spring Brings Temporary Relief
After the conflict settles, Villiers Fim tells Arc about a hot spring that is supposed to lift his curse. Arc enters the spring hoping to shed his skeletal form for good. He asks his friends to look away while he transforms.
His friends are confused, and the moment brings some lighter humour to the episode. Eventually, Arc appears as a human with a muscular body, hinting at the life he lived before coming to this world.
Ariane and Chiyome had discussed what Arc might look like before this moment, and what they imagined turns out to be true. However, viewers do not get a clear look at Arc’s eyes throughout the entire scene. The transformation is powerful but does not last long.
Arc Collapses and a Village Rises
Just moments after becoming human again, Arc blacks out. The dragon then explains why Arc’s skeleton and his real body exist in separate places. The very act of trying to unite them caused him to lose consciousness.
His curse activates once more, returning him to his skeletal form. He remains unconscious for a long stretch of time.
During this period, Chiyome uses the time to call her people and establish a new settlement around Arc. By the time Arc wakes up, major changes have taken place. The settlement he sees proves how long he was actually asleep.
New Mysteries and What Comes Next
The torii gate turns out to hold greater importance than it first seemed. Villiers mentions that many people have stepped through this gate before Arc, and it connects to another Japanese landmark.
Later, an elder from the new village requests a meeting with Arc to discuss something important. At the same time, Arc is about to kiss Ariane, but his awakening interrupts the moment.
These two developments suggest the show is moving closer to resolving Arc’s central conflict.

About the Series
‘Skeleton Knight in Another World’ follows a gamer who wakes up inside the body of his MMORPG character after falling asleep while playing. But he finds himself trapped in a fantasy world with the appearance of a skeleton. Armed with powerful weapons and armour, Arc sets out on an adventure to find a cure for his curse and protect his friends.
The Japanese cast includes Tomoaki Maeno as Arc, Ai Fairouz as Ariane, Nene Hieda as Ponta, and Miyu Tomita as Chiyome. PelleK performs the opening theme song “Rōman Kaidō, Osanpo Chū,” and DIALOGUE＋ performs the ending theme “Kiseki wa Okinai.”
