The actress took to Instagram to address these concerns. She explained that her tight filming schedule left her with minimal time to prepare for the event. “I had very little time to prepare due to my filming schedule—I barely had time for fittings, hair, or makeup and had to rush to the ceremony,” she stated. The unexpected nature of the award further contributed to her flustered state. “Since the award was unexpected, I was at a loss for words. I’ve always been straightforward when I speak, and I ended up sounding insincere because I was caught off guard,” she added.
Heartfelt Message to Running Man Team
In her Instagram post, Song Ji Hyo shared a more composed and heartfelt acceptance speech. She expressed deep gratitude for the award, which was chosen by viewers and Running Man fans. “I am incredibly grateful for this meaningful award, which was chosen by viewers and ‘Running Man’ fans. I will cherish it dearly,” she wrote. She also emphasized her commitment to the show and its viewers. “Receiving such a significant award motivates me to become a funnier and more entertaining ‘Running Man’ member. I’ll work even harder to bring more laughter.”
Song Ji Hyo then extended her thanks to her Running Man castmates: Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, Haha, and Yang Se Chan, as well as the show’s staff.
