Episode 12 picks up right where Episode 11 left off. Yeo-Ri is rushed to the hospital after being hit by the truck. Gang-Uk collapses from the shock and suffers a stress-related cardiac arrest. He survives and recovers, but Yeo-Ri remains in a coma.
While unconscious, Yeo-Ri finds herself walking toward the afterlife. Along the way, she meets the spirits she helped throughout the series. The souls thank her and guide her back. Right as she is about to cross over, Ji-Hwan (Kim Min-Chul) appears. He tells her she still has reasons to live and encourages her to go back. Ji-Hwan takes her place on the journey to the netherworld so she can survive.
The finale reveals that Yeo-Ri gained her ability to see ghosts because she stopped the Grim Reaper from taking Ji-Hwan‘s soul years ago. That act transferred the supernatural power to her. When Ji-Hwan sacrifices himself again in the finale, Yeo-Ri loses her ghost-seeing ability. She can finally live a normal life without seeing spirits everywhere.

Min-Hwan kept this secret for 12 years. He also killed Park Seung-Jae (Kim Do-Wan) to stop him from revealing the truth. Seung-Jae had found a camcorder recording that showed the fight between Min-Hwan and Ji-Hwan on the yacht. He tried to blackmail Min-Hwan with the footage. Min-Hwan killed him during their confrontation.
In the finale, Yeo-Ri and Gang-Uk investigate Seung-Jae‘s death. They visit Seung-Jae‘s childhood home and find another copy of the crucial camcorder footage. The recording provides clear evidence of Min-Hwan‘s involvement in Ji-Hwan‘s death.
