The official trailer for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 has arrived, and it is taking Captain Pike and his crew to places they have never been before. The 10-episode season premieres globally on Paramount+ on Thursday, July 23, 2026, with new episodes dropping weekly through September 24, 2026.
The trailer shows the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise facing a roaring Tyrannosaurus Rex in a prehistoric world, and also features scenes set in a Western-themed adventure. The season is being described as a bridge toward the fifth and final season, where Captain James T. Kirk will officially take over the Enterprise.
What the Trailer Reveals About Season 4
The Season 4 trailer opens with the tagline “Boldly go, one step closer, to where it all began.” It showcases the crew experiencing a variety of unexpected adventures across multiple worlds, including the prehistoric setting with dinosaurs, a Western landscape, and encounters with medieval knights.
One of the most talked-about moments in the trailer features a scene between Spock (Ethan Peck) and James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley). Spock tells Kirk, “I have many things I want to talk aboutโฆI believe you are here so I can share them with you.” This hints at a deeper exploration of the iconic friendship between these two characters, which is a cornerstone of the Star Trek franchise.
The trailer also takes a tense turn when Captain Pike announces that an “SOS was a trap,” forcing the crew to evacuate the ship. The trailer ends with a montage of the crew traveling through different worlds, with the ominous warning: “We’ve seen a lot of strange new worlds, but we’ll never see something like this again.”
