What Happened in Episode 18
Before jumping into episode 19, here is a quick recap of what went down in the previous episode.
Episode 18, titled “Turbulence in the West,” focused heavily on the political situation in the Western Council. The council members proposed attacking the demons before they could reach the capital city. During the council meeting, one of the ancient demons, Misery, was summoned. However, Misery quickly realized that Blanc (also known as Testarossa) was present in the meeting and decided to leave and head toward Rogue, also known as Guy Crimson.
Testarossa then ordered the detention of council members who had been plotting rebellion, including Johann Rostia. She also reassured the council and the Western representatives that Tempest could protect them against any attack.
Meanwhile, the larger conflict involving the Rozzo family continued to develop. Granville Rozzo, the former Hero and head of the Five Elders of the Siltrosso Kingdom, along with his granddaughter Maribel Rozzo, have been pushing their plan to protect humanity through domination. Their schemes have put them on a direct collision course with Rimuru.
What to Expect in Episode 19
Episode 19 carries the title “Death and Loss” (死と消失). The official synopsis for the episode has been released, and it points to some major events.
Rimuru faces Leon. To determine Granville’s true intentions, Rimuru crosses swords with Demon Lord Leon. Leon, who rules El Dorado, has been working toward his own goals behind the scenes. This confrontation is expected to reveal more about the larger power struggle at play.
Luminus discovers something missing. While fighting against Maria, Luminus notices that something sealed within the sacred ark of the Nocturnal Court has disappeared. This discovery could have serious consequences for the ongoing conflict in Lubelius.
Hinata’s fate hangs in the balance. The episode is expected to show Hinata Sakaguchi in a critical condition after trying to protect Chloe. According to reports, Hinata is on the verge of death after being struck during the battle. However, something unexpected happens—Hinata and Chloe suddenly disappear.
This disappearance is believed to be the beginning of an important journey related to time and Chloe’s past. Fans of the manga may already know where this is heading, as the anime is adapting content from around manga chapter 142.
Granville regains his power. Granville is using Luminous’s power to transform himself back to his prime as the Hero of Dawn. This transformation makes him incredibly powerful and sets up what could be one of the most intense battles of the season.
