The final season of The Boys is close to the finish line. Episode 5 just dropped on Prime Video, and fans are already looking ahead. The sixth episode is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
The show follows a weekly release pattern. New episodes come out every Wednesday. This means only three episodes remain after Episode 6 before the series ends forever with Episode 8 on May 20, 2026.

What Happened In Episode 5
Episode 5, titled “One-Shots,” gave viewers a major crossover moment. Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy) reunited with his Supernatural co-stars Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins. Padalecki played Mr. Marathon, a former member of The Seven who lost his spot to A-Train. Collins played Malchemical, a supe who spews gas from his mouth.
The episode showed different character perspectives. Viewers saw the same day through the eyes of Firecracker, Black Noir, Sister Sage, Soldier Boy, and even Terror the dog. Terror’s scenes included funny dreams about Antony Starr’s Homelander.
The celebrity cameos did not stop there. Seth Rogen, Kumail Nanjiani, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Will Forte all appeared as themselves. They played poker at Mr. Marathon’s house. The scene included jokes about other famous actors getting rounded up for opposing Homelander’s new laws. The mention of Meryl Streep, Joaquin Phoenix, and Bill Hader got attention from viewers.
The ending was brutal. Soldier Boy broke Malchemical’s neck. He then forced Mr. Marathon to run through all the celebrities, killing them. Homelander woke up and stomped Mr. Marathon’s head, crushing it completely.

What To Expect From Episode 6
Episode 6 will likely focus on Homelander’s growing ruthlessness. After killing Firecracker in a previous episode, his paranoia is getting worse. Vought Tower now feels like a trap for everyone around him. Ashley, The Deep, and the new Black Noir could all be in danger.
Sister Sage continues to be the most dangerous player in the game. Her plan to release the Supe virus and let the world burn is moving forward. Episode 6 may show the first signs of her plan taking shape.
Soldier Boy has formed an uneasy alliance with his son Homelander. But this partnership feels unstable. Secrets could come out that break whatever bond they have. Episode 6 may test how long this father-son team can last without bloodshed.
On the human side, Billy Butcher and the team keep searching for V-One and Bombsight. Butcher is reaching a breaking point. If he gets his hands on something dangerous like V-One, things could turn into a complete disaster.
