Hwon, a member of the K-pop group The KingDom, will officially take a hiatus following damaging rumors.
On September 30, GF Entertainment revealed the decision regarding Hwon’s break from the group after allegations surfaced from an individual claiming to be his ex-girlfriend. The alleged ex-partner accused Hwon of ghosting her after their intimate encounter and stated that he worked at a host bar during his time as an idol.
GF Entertainment issued a statement saying, “We would like to inform you about Hwon’s future activities. Due to health reasons, Hwon will be suspending his activities for the time being. As a result, The KingDom will continue as a six-member group starting today (the 30th), excluding Hwon. We apologize for any concern this sudden news may cause.”
