According to the official synopsis, Victoria and Nonna have disappeared and are now living in the Randall Kingdom under fake identities. They are pretending to be “Maria” and her son “Lyle”. Back in the Ashberry Kingdom, strange people have been asking questions about Jeffrey. Jeffrey thinks these people are after Victoria, so he increases security around Lady Yolana’s mansion. The Third Knights Order also joins in because they have information that assassins from the Hagl Kingdom might show up. The episode will show what happens when suspicious men finally appear.
Story Recap So Far
Episode 1: “Free, Unbound by Anyone”
Chloe, a spy working for the kingdom of Hagl, decides to leave her dangerous life behind. After her boss betrays her, she fakes her death and escapes to the neighboring kingdom of Ashberry. She takes on the identity of Victoria Sellars and hopes to start a normal life.
Episode 2: “No One Should Feel Sorry for Me”
Victoria finds a job and a place to live. She runs into Jeffrey Asher, a knight and the leader of the Second Knights Order. Jeffrey becomes interested in her, and their connection begins to grow.
Episode 3: “I Couldn’t Become Someone to Be Depended Upon”
Victoria and Jeffrey attend a royal ball together. Something happens at the ball that puts Victoria in danger. An attacker tries to cause trouble, and Victoria has to use her skills to handle the situation.
Episode 4: “Are You Going to Arrest Me?”
Victoria is followed by a mysterious man in a mask. She takes him down and discovers that people are looking into her new identity. An ally sends her a letter warning her that someone is investigating the real Victoria Sellars. Nonna also starts to see Victoria as a mother figure.
Episode 5: “Prepared to Pay for What I’ve Done”
Victoria prepares Nonna to spend some evenings alone. Using the fake name Kate, she gets a horse and goes to ask a man for help. She also visits the castle and manages to see the attacker from the ball who is now in prison. She gets the attacker released from prison.
Episode 6: “Think About This Child’s Happiness”
Victoria seems to be gaining allies. But a Barone shows up and asks to adopt Nonna. This puts Victoria in a difficult position because she has grown attached to the girl.
Episode 7: “Wonderful Memories Were Made”
Nonna gets into a carriage with a baron. Clark asks Victoria why Nonna got on the carriage, but Victoria simply says she is going home. The episode focuses on the growing bond between Victoria and Nonna, and how Victoria is learning to care for someone else.

The anime is based on a light novel series written by Syuu with illustrations by Nanna Fujimi. The light novel began in 2021 and has three volumes so far. A manga adaptation by Komo Ushino started in 2022. Both are available in English through Yen Press.
