Plot Details for the New Season
The story picks up with Yumi in her mid-30s. She has left her regular office job behind and successfully became a romance novelist. From the outside, her life looks complete. But inside her mind, the cell village that once buzzed with emotions has grown quiet. Her love cells are inactive, and she feels stuck in a daily routine.
Everything changes when she meets Shin Soon-rok, played by Kim Jae-won. He is a logical and distant editor assigned to work with Yumi. His calm personality clashes with her emotional nature, but he unexpectedly wakes up her sleeping feelings. Soon-rok is a strict professional who wears sharp suits and keeps personal conversations out of work. At home, he is a complete introvert who recharges alone.
Adding to the romantic confusion, another man named Kim Ju-ho, played by Choi Daniel, enters the picture. He matches Yumi’s ideal type perfectly and openly shows interest in her. Yumi now finds herself choosing between two very different men.
Cast and Characters Returning for Season 3
Kim Go-eun leads the cast as Kim Yumi once again. Kim Jae-won joins as Shin Soon-rok, the new male lead who takes over from Ahn Bo-hyun (season one) and Park Jin-young of GOT7 (season two). Choi Daniel appears as Kim Ju-ho, the second male lead.
The supporting cast includes Lee Yoo-bi returning as Ruby, Jeon Seok-ho, Cho Hye-jung, and Min-ram. Director Lee Sang-yeob, who directed the first two seasons, returns for season three. The writing team consists of Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran.
