The team from The Hunting Party faced one of their most disturbing cases yet in Season 2 Episode 12. The episode, which aired on April 30, 2026, focused on Nancy Albright, a woman whose drug addiction took a terrifying turn. After escaping from the secret prison known as The Pit, Nancy found a new way to chase a high—by killing people.

The episode titled “Nancy Albright” followed Bex Henderson and her team as they tried to track her down before more victims showed up. At the same time, the team learned shocking new details about Colonel Eve Lazarus and her real plans for the killers kept in The Pit.

Nancy Albright’s Past in The Pit Did Not Fix Her Dark Urges

Nancy Albright, played by Jamie Chung, first ended up in The Pit because she moved from using drugs to killing people. The rush from murder gave her a better feeling than any substance. When the prison exploded and all the inmates got out, Nancy went back to what she knew best.

Inside The Pit, doctors tried an experimental treatment on Nancy. They gave her a drug called M-CAM+, which blocked her ability to feel any kind of high. Whether she took real drugs or fake ones, her body would not react. The doctors thought they had solved the problem. But they only stopped the physical feeling. They did nothing about the deep need inside her that wanted that rush.

Without the ability to get high herself, Nancy found a different method. She started going to Narcotics Anonymous meetings and acted like a caring sponsor. People in recovery trusted her because she seemed to understand their struggles. But Nancy used that trust to find victims. She would befriend someone struggling, drug their drink, and then drain their blood so she could feel the high through them.

The Team Connects the Dots Behind the Strange Deaths

The investigation in this episode started with deaths that looked like overdoses. Bex (Melissa Roxburgh), Shane (Josh McKenzie), and Hassani (Patrick Sabongui) noticed small details that did not add up. The victims all went to the same recovery meetings. And they all had a woman named Nancy in their lives right before they died.

Bex went into the recovery community to ask questions. She pretended to understand their world, but gaining trust was not easy. Shane and Hassani followed a different lead. They tracked down a drug dealer named Zebra who explained what Nancy was really doing. She could not get high anymore, so she found a way to borrow the high from other people. That meant keeping victims alive while taking their blood, which made the case even more urgent.

By the end of the hunt, Bex saved Nancy’s last target just in time. But the case left the whole team shaken.

Shane Faces Hard Truths About The Pit and His Mother

This case hit Shane harder than the others. Watching Nancy go through treatment inside The Pit and still come out worse made him question everything about the system. He already had doubts about Colonel Lazarus. Now he wondered if the prison ever actually helped anyone or if it just made killers smarter.

Shane also struggled with his personal connection to Lazarus. He recently learned that she is his biological mother. He wants to believe there is some good left in her, but the evidence keeps pointing the other way. His partner Hassani stood by him during this difficult time, but Shane clearly had a lot to process.

Peck Confirms Lazarus Is Building a Secret Army

While the team dealt with Nancy, a bigger story was unfolding back at the Command Center. Jonathan Peck finally started talking. He admitted he helped Lazarus take down a convoy earlier in the season. But then he dropped a much bigger piece of information.

Lazarus moved The Pit’s work to a new secret location. She kept it hidden from everyone, even the government officials who thought they shut her down. Inside this new lab, she holds selected inmates and continues the experiments. But the goal changed. It is no longer about fixing anyone. She wants to turn these killers into weapons.

“She’s collecting certain inmates in another location. She has a lab, one that no one knows about. She’s continuing the work that was done in The Pit. She’s building an army.” – Jonathan Peck to the team

Peck explained that Lazarus wants controllable assets she can send out into the field. The first two prisoners shown in her new facility were Doctor Ezekiel Malak and Amanda Weiss, two of the most dangerous killers Bex caught earlier in the series. This reveal changes everything the team thought they knew about The Pit.
