Who Is Kelly Chase

Chase is a writer, researcher, and executive producer who formerly hosted the popular podcast The UFO Rabbit Hole, which ranked in the top 1% of global podcasts on Spotify in 2023. She is the writer and executive producer of the docuseries Cosmosis: UFOs & A New Reality and currently hosts Inquiry with Kelly Chase. Her work has been featured in UFO Revolution on TMZ and Beyond on Bad Robot. She has been active in the UFO disclosure community for roughly five years.

What Kelly Chase Says Happened on November 19, 2023

Chase posted a video titled โ€œMy Statement About Nov 19, 2023โ€ on her YouTube channel. In the video, she described the events of that night in detail. She said she was hanging out with her former business partner Jay Christopher King and another woman, Heather Houston, at around 8:00 p.m. at the hotel where conference speakers were staying. The Sol Foundation symposium had taken place at Stanford University on November 17 and 18, 2023.

โ€œI got very tired out of nowhere,โ€ Chase said in the video. โ€œI left the hotel and went back to my hotel two blocks away. I immediately fell asleep on top of the duvet cover with my clothes and shoes still on and my phone in my hand.โ€

Chase said she was woken up at 2:00 a.m. by a call from King. According to her account, King told her that he and Houston had also been drugged and that they showed signs of physical injury and s**ual violence. Chase said she will not share Houstonโ€™s story because it is not hers to tell, but she did say that Houston typed out an account of what happened to her in a document.

โ€œI believe that I was dr*gged on November 19th, 2023 at the hotel where all the speakers were staying after the first Sol symposium,โ€ Chase said.

She said she cannot know for sure what happened to her, but she believes King may have been responsible. She also shared a police report number: 26-04530.

The Alleged โ€œMilitary Abductionโ€ Explanation

Chase said that in the days after the incident, she was told a very different story. According to her, Leslie Kean, an investigative journalist known for her UFO reporting, told her and the others that the incident was a โ€œmilitary abductionโ€ carried out by a team led by retired Army Colonel John Alexander. Chase said she was told the matter had been reported to the Department of Defense and that police could not handle it.

โ€œI believed this for years,โ€ Chase said.

She said she was also told that Garry Nolan, a Stanford immunologist and co-founder of the Sol Foundation, had been made aware of the situation. Chase later asked Nolan about this on X, and he said he did not know. Chase said she has no reason to doubt Nolanโ€™s word, which raises questions for her about what Kean told her.

โ€œIf weโ€™re working from the assumption that Garry Nolan is telling the truth about not knowing, then that means that Leslie Kean lied when she told us that Garry had been alerted to what happened to us,โ€ Chase said. โ€œIโ€™d like to know why that is.โ€

Why She Reconsidered After April 2026 Allegations Against Jay Christopher King

Chase said her understanding of the night changed in April 2026, when she received allegations of sual misconduct involving King. She said an individual contacted her with concerns about online interactions with King, alleging that he crossed sual boundaries and sent an explicit photo.

โ€œThe details of those allegations made me reconsider what occurred that night,โ€ Chase said.

She said she permanently severed ties with King and removed all content featuring him from her public feeds. The Cosmosis podcast and Inquire Anomalous Presents content featuring King were pulled from her public feeds. She also said she reached out to Kingโ€™s former partner, who told her something that shocked her: that King still had the bedsheet from the bed where Houston was allegedly attacked.

โ€œBased on this information and the fact that I have uncovered a truly staggering web of lies and manipulation by Jay, I have come to suspect that he was the one who dr*gged Heather and I,โ€ Chase said. โ€œBut obviously, I canโ€™t know. And because we were convinced to not make a police report, there is very likely no usable evidence in this case.โ€

King was the director of The Experiencer Group, an organization that supports people who have had anomalous experiences. Multiple allegations of inappropriate s**ual behavior and other misconduct against King surfaced in April 2026, according to reports from the UFO community.

Questions for Leslie Kean and Garry Nolan

Chase has publicly asked several questions about what happened after the incident. She wants to know why Kean was so certain that John Alexander was responsible for the alleged military abduction. She also wants to know what happened to the report that was supposedly filed with the Department of Defense.

Chase said she asked Kean directly what really happened on the night of November 19, 2023. According to Chase, Kean said she had no idea. Chase gave Kean until the afternoon of October 31, 2026, to provide an explanation. When that explanation did not come, Chase posted her video publicly.

She also said Kean asked her to stop posting about Jonathan Grey, a NASIC officer whose name has appeared in UFO disclosure discussions. Chase said Kean told her the posts had endangered Grey.

โ€œI have been lied to, gaslit, and terrorized for three years about what happened on Nov 19, 2023 in Palo Alto,โ€ Chase wrote in the description of her video. โ€œI donโ€™t know what actually happened to me, but I do know that multiple crimes were committed by someone, and everyone seems to be lying about it.โ€

Chase also raised questions about whether the Sol Foundation knew that three people who had been invited to the conference were drugged at the hotel where speakers were staying, allegedly by another conference attendee. She asked the foundation what actions it would take to prevent similar events.

Police Report Filed in Palo Alto

Chase said she has filed a police report with the Palo Alto Police Department. The report number she shared is 26-04530. She said the report should be available publicly.

The Sol Foundation has confirmed that its inaugural symposium took place at Stanford University on November 17 and 18, 2023. The event featured speakers including Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb, computer scientist Jacques Vallรฉe, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Christopher Mellon, and retired Army Colonel Karl Nell. UFO whistleblower David Grusch also made a surprise appearance at the event.

The UFO Community Reacts

Reactions within the UFO community have been divided. Some supporters have praised Chase for speaking out. On Redditโ€™s r/UFO, one user said her โ€œmoral and ethical compass points northโ€ and urged people to โ€œhold your judgement and letโ€™s hear what she has to say.โ€

Others have been more skeptical. One Reddit user accused Chase of โ€œusing victimhood to drive trafficโ€ and criticized her for calling the community gullible for believing David Grusch, the UFO whistleblower who testified before Congress in 2023.

An account called Engaging The Phenomenon posted a statement on X saying the situation has been โ€œconfusing and alarming.โ€

โ€œI am deeply sorry for what Kelly has been through, and I believe Jay and anyone else who may have been directly responsible deserve serious scrutiny,โ€ the post read. โ€œBut I am increasingly concerned about how this situation is expanding to involve people who have absolutely nothing to do with it.โ€

Chaseโ€™s allegations have also renewed scrutiny of David Gruschโ€™s credibility. Chase said her concern is not with what Grusch said, but with how the UFO community responded to it.

โ€œPerhaps Gruschโ€™s credibility isnโ€™t a conclusion that we came to, but rather it was an identity that we invested in,โ€ she said.

Jay Christopher King, Leslie Kean, Garry Nolan, and the Sol Foundation have not issued public responses to Chaseโ€™s allegations. Chase said she is naming powerful people and known members of the intelligence community, and she is moving methodically to ensure her safety and the safety of others.

โ€œI am afraid, but I am more afraid of one day meeting my maker and explaining how I wasnโ€™t brave enough to speak up in the face of depraved acts of exploitation and abuse,โ€ Chase said. โ€œIf I was the only one impacted, I would lick my wounds and move on. But there are so many others.โ€
