Laura Loomer posted more than 100 times on X in the hours after Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress on November 3, 2026. Two days later, Marjorie Taylor Greene responded with a public assessment that pulled no punches. The former Georgia congresswoman wrote that Loomer is โ€œmentally unwellโ€ and โ€œprobably living in a state of psychosis,โ€ then tied Loomerโ€™s advice directly to the Republican Partyโ€™s midterm losses and to the legal danger facing Donald Trump.

Greeneโ€™s comment landed on Thursday, November 5, 2026, and it attached a screenshot compiling Loomerโ€™s posts from the previous 24 hours. The post quickly became one of the most shared political reactions of the week, largely because Greene did not stop at describing Loomerโ€™s online activity. She also named the White House officials and the president himself as people who speak with Loomer regularly. The public back-and-forth between two well-known supporters of Trump has drawn attention far beyond the usual circle of political commentators.

What Greene Said in the Post

The full post from Greeneโ€™s account on X reads:

โ€œLaura Loomer is mentally unwell and is probably living in a state of psychosis. And high level admin in the White House talk to her all the time. So does the President, called her a great republican strategist. Her insane advice led to LOSING and could end with Trump in jail.โ€

Greeneโ€™s post was a reply to another X user who had counted 138 posts from Loomer in a 24-hour window. Reports on the exact number vary. Newsweek counted 119 posts across less than 28 hours, which works out to roughly one post every 14 minutes. The Irish Star reported 140 posts in 24 hours, a figure repeated by several outlets covering the exchange. The different counts reflect the difficulty of tracking a fast-moving account in real time, but every major report agrees on the core point: Loomerโ€™s output after the midterm results was far above her normal pace.

Greeneโ€™s post did not stay focused only on the volume of posts. It also made a direct political argument. Greene claimed that Loomerโ€™s advice had reached the highest levels of the White House and that the president had described Loomer as โ€œa great republican strategistโ€. Greene then linked that advice to the Republican defeat and to the presidentโ€™s legal exposure. The phrase โ€œcould end with Trump in jailโ€ gave the post its sharpest edge and helped it travel quickly across social media.

Loomerโ€™s Posting Spree in the Hours After the Midterms

Democrats won control of the House and the Senate on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Loomerโ€™s reaction began almost immediately. Newsweek analysed her X account and found that she posted 119 times in less than 28 hours, writing 4,330 words across those posts. The posts ranged from short reactions to longer messages about the direction of the country.

One of Loomerโ€™s most widely shared posts declared that โ€œAmerica is overโ€ and that there would be no rebuilding. She also predicted that Democrats would hold the Senate until 2032, win in 2028, add seats to the Supreme Court, and grant statehood to Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Another post urged Americans to arm themselves and stockpile food and firearms, and warned of โ€œmassive political violence and terrorismโ€. Loomer rejected the idea that her posts amounted to a meltdown. โ€œNot a meltdown. Just reality,โ€ she wrote in response to one user.

The posting spree was not limited to broad predictions. Loomer also returned to an earlier argument with Angie Nixon, a Florida Democratic Senate candidate. Loomer had previously called Nixon a โ€œghetto Black communist b****โ€ in a series of posts during the summer of 2026. After the Florida race was called for Republican Ashley Moody, Loomer wrote: โ€œWe have defeated communist Angie Nixon in Floridaโ€. The combination of election commentary, personal attacks, and warnings of violence gave Greeneโ€™s screenshot a dense collection of material to highlight.

The Longer History Between Greene and Loomer

The November exchange did not come out of nowhere. Greene and Loomer have clashed repeatedly through 2026, and the disagreements have grown more personal as the midterms approached.

In February 2026, Greene called Loomer a โ€œside pieceโ€ amid a dispute over Loomerโ€™s influence with Trump. Loomer responded by saying that Greene would โ€œdo nothing but attack President Trumpโ€ through the midterms and suggested that Greene wanted the GOP to lose. By March 2026, Greene was already predicting Republican losses and naming Loomer as one of the people responsible. Greene wrote that Loomer, Mark Levin, and Lindsey Graham were โ€œleading Republicans into slaughter going into midtermsโ€.

The feud sharpened again in August 2026 when Loomer repeatedly used the โ€œghetto Black communistโ€ description for Nixon. Greene condemned the remarks and said they represented โ€œTrumpโ€™s new MAGA and Republican Partyโ€. Loomer did not back down, and the two continued to trade criticism on X. By the time the midterm results arrived, Greene and Loomer had built a public record of disagreement that made Greeneโ€™s โ€œpsychosisโ€ post read as a continuation of an ongoing argument rather than a one-time reaction.

Greeneโ€™s Break With Trump and Her Prediction of Defeat

Greeneโ€™s willingness to criticise Loomer and the presidentโ€™s inner circle is tied to her own political break with Trump. Greene represented Georgiaโ€™s 14th Congressional District from 2021 until she resigned on January 5, 2026. The break began over the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein. Trump took Greeneโ€™s push for the files personally and called her a traitor. Greene later said she left Congress because she feared becoming โ€œthe next Charlie Kirkโ€ amid death threats.

Greeneโ€™s prediction of a Republican defeat was also on the record before the votes were counted. On November 1, 2026, she posted that Democrats were likely to win and pointed to the presidentโ€™s decisions on the Iran War, his ties to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Epstein files. Greene argued that Republican failures, not Democratic strength, were driving the losses. Two days later, both chambers fell to the Democrats.

Greene also attacked the presidentโ€™s advisory circle more broadly. In a November 4 post, she mocked Loomer and criticised White House aide Natalie Harp for helping Loomer gain access to the president as a โ€œlate night advisorโ€. Greene wrote:

โ€œAn insane woman, two time congressional loser, who has zero real life experience yet Natalie Harp somehow helped Laura become Trumpโ€™s crazy train late night advisor. Make her the press secretary! Make her chief of staff! Give Laura something! Please entertain me!โ€

Greene also called Trump a โ€œcult leaderโ€ in an interview with TMZ and said the midterm results were a referendum on his presidency. The comment added another layer to the public dispute: Greene was not only criticising Loomerโ€™s online behaviour but also questioning the judgment of the people around the president.

Loomerโ€™s Podcast Pause and Her Public Response

Loomer did not directly answer Greeneโ€™s โ€œpsychosisโ€ post with a matching personal attack in the hours that followed. Her public response focused on the political argument. She wrote that people who had told the country that Trump should not have finished the job in Iran, and who encouraged negotiations with โ€œterrorists,โ€ would โ€œforever be humiliatedโ€. She also said that voters who claimed they did not support that approach were โ€œlying to themselvesโ€.

On the evening of November 5, 2026, Loomer announced that she was taking a break from hosting her twice-weekly livestreamed show, Loomer Unleashed. Loomer said the decision was not a withdrawal from political commentary or from her support for Trump. She described herself as a โ€œmachineโ€ who sometimes worked more than 18 hours a day and said she had been โ€œrunning on empty for too longโ€. Loomer cited her family, her personal life, and an upcoming wedding as reasons for the pause. She did not give a date for returning to the show and said she would be back โ€œwhen the time is rightโ€.

The announcement came after a week in which Loomerโ€™s posting volume and the public criticism from Greene had made her online activity a story in itself. Loomer made clear that she would continue to follow the news, research stories, and comment on breaking events even while her show is on hiatus.
