What Happened Before Episode 4
The story centers on Elizabeth Leiston, the daughter of the powerful prime minister of the Kingdom of Haldoria. She was raised to be the perfect future queen and was engaged to Crown Prince Friede Haldoria.

The first three episodes showed Elizabeth’s fall from grace and her daring escape. She is no longer the polite noble lady. She is now a woman who wants to crush the country that betrayed her.

It was originally serialized as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō service beginning in October 2020. The light novel has seven volumes out in Japan so far. A manga adaptation illustrated by Imo Oono is also underway. J-Novel Club has picked up both the light novel and manga for English release.
