BIGHIT MUSIC’s History and CORTIS

BIGHIT MUSIC has a strong track record of building global acts. The label is home to BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and CORTIS. CORTIS debuted in August 2025 as the label’s first new boy group in six years. The five-member group has already passed 5 million cumulative album sales across its first two mini albums. Their song “REDRED” became a viral hit in 2026, helped by a recognizable dance move that spread across short-form video platforms. TikTok named CORTIS its Boyband of the Summer 2026.

The label was established in 2021 as a stand-alone label under HYBE, formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment. HYBE was founded by producer Bang Si-hyuk in 2005.

What the Label Said About the Audition

BIGHIT MUSIC shared a message for applicants in its official announcement.

“We welcome all applicants who are pursuing their dreams. We hope for active participation from people who can show their own individuality and talent across a range of fields.”

The audition poster features boys running freely toward their dreams against a backdrop of open sky and fields. The visual matches the label’s message of encouraging young talent to take a chance on themselves.

This is not the first time BIGHIT MUSIC has held a global audition. The label conducted a similar talent search in 2024, with Singapore as one of 17 cities that hosted on-site auditions. Some applicants then were as young as 14 years old.

BTS is also set to perform four concerts at Singapore’s National Stadium on December 17, 19, 20, and 22 as part of its ARIRANG world tour. Those shows sold out within hours of going on sale.
