Bunnie Xo is setting the record straight about her future family plans with estranged husband Jelly Roll. The Dumb Blonde podcaster dropped a major bombshell on the June 18 episode of her show, confirming that she and the country superstar are still moving forward with their baby plans despite their ongoing divorce.
In an emotional episode titled “The Divorce,” Bunnie, 46, made it crystal clear that the end of their marriage does not mean the end of their dream to become parents.
“You guys are going to be shocked to hear this but we’re still having a baby,” Bunnie declared on the podcast. “We’re going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn’t what you guys think this is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It’s literally just we served our purpose for each other.”
Bunnie Xo Opens Up About Painful IVF Journey
The couple’s path to parenthood has been anything but easy. Bunnie revealed that they have lost four embryos throughout their IVF treatments.
“J and I have lost four embryos. We’ve had three transfers but we lost the two twins that we were going to try to have and then we lost the other two,” she shared, describing the experience as “gut-wrenching” and “so heartbreaking.”
She also disclosed that Jelly Roll had a low sperm count and had to undergo hormone treatment, which she said made him “a freaking nightmare to be around.”
“Those losses just completely wrecked me emotionally, spiritually, physically,” Bunnie admitted. “My hat goes off to any woman, family, couple who is going through IVF because let me tell you something, dude. That is one of the loneliest, darkest journeys you will be on.”
How Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo’s Divorce Came to Be
Jelly Roll filed for divorce on May 18 in Williamson County, Tennessee, citing irreconcilable differences. The filing was first reported on June 15.
Bunnie explained that the split stemmed from a heated argument on Mother’s Day.
“On Mother’s Day, we had a little bit of an argument, which I don’t think the details are necessary, and in that argument, I was so fed up and so tired that I just looked at him and said, ‘Well, then file the f***ing divorce papers,’” she recalled.
She packed a bag and left, and the two didn’t speak for weeks.
“Was this divorce mutual? No, it was not mutual, even though I told him to file the divorce papers, I was speaking out of anger and just frustration,” Bunnie clarified.
Bunnie also addressed rampant rumors that she cheated on Jelly Roll with Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger. “No, I did not cheat on my husband and leave him for Chad, or none of that,” she said, calling the speculation “embarrassing.”
Jelly Roll Responds From the Stage
Just hours after Bunnie’s podcast dropped, Jelly Roll addressed the situation from the stage during his concert in Saratoga Springs, New York.
Speaking about the split, he said, “Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today. Nobody cheated on nobody.”
He also confirmed that everything Bunnie said on her podcast was true. “That will be my best friend forever… Bunnie, I love you, baby. Thank you for those 10 years,” he told the crowd.

Despite the divorce, both Bunnie and Jelly Roll remain committed to their dream of becoming parents. They plan to raise their future child as “one big happy family” and coparent together.
“J has been so f***ing great about us still having a baby together and he wants the same thing,” Bunnie said. “We’re just going to raise little Nugget as one big happy family.”
According to their divorce settlement, Bunnie will move into the couple’s compound, where she plans to raise their child. The divorce was finalized in roughly two to three weeks.
Bunnie also shared that Jelly Roll is already starting to date again, and she fully supports him. “Daddy Roll is probably in his finest season… He looks so good and he’s healthier than he’s ever been. He’s started dating, which is great. I love that,” she said.
