The Clevatess II anime releases its fourth episode on July 29, 2026. The new episode will be available to stream worldwide on Crunchyroll at the usual weekly time.

Episode 4 of Clevatess II: Majuu no Ou to Itsuwari no Yuusha Denshou (English title: Clevatess II – The King of Magical Beasts and the Legend of the False Hero) comes out on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. The series follows a weekly schedule with new episodes arriving every Wednesday.
The global release times for the episode are:
- Japan Standard Time (JST): 9:00 PM (broadcast on AT-X)
- Eastern Time (ET): 8:00 AM
- Pacific Time (PT): 5:00 AM
- British Summer Time (BST): 1:00 PM

Crunchyroll is the primary streaming home for the series worldwide. The platform offers the episode with English subtitles and an English dub that started streaming alongside the Japanese version from July 8. Additional streaming options include Catchplay and Ani-One Asia in select regions. At this time, there are no free streaming options available for the series.

What Happened Before Episode 4
The story of Clevatess takes place in a dark fantasy world. The main character is Clevatess, one of the Lords of Dark Beasts. His life changes when he brings back to life Alicia, a hero he personally killed, and takes in an orphaned humanoid baby who may be the world’s last hope.
The first season, titled Clevatess: Majū no Ō to Akago to Shikabene no Yūsha (Clevatess – The King of Magical Beasts, the Baby, and the Corpse Hero), aired from July 2 to September 17, 2025 with 12 episodes.
The second season follows Clevatess and Alicia as they infiltrate the Divine Academy Solsein. Clevatess uses a young boy disguise to move around the school. Their goal is to secure the dark research of the deceased mage Drel. They must deal with corruption within the school while keeping their true identities hidden.
Episode 1, titled “Solsein, the Divine Academy,” introduced the new setting and the academy infiltration plot.
Episode 2, titled “Another World,” continued the story as Clevatess and Alicia began their mission at the academy.
Episode 3, which aired on July 22, showed Alicia making alliances and searching for clues on her own after Clevatess left her for unknown reasons. The episode also revealed that two students at the academy are connected to other Lords of Dark Beasts, introducing Zavthier and another Dark Beast Lord into the story.
Production Team and Voice Cast
The anime is produced by animation studio Lay-duce. Kiyotaka Taguchi returns as the director. Keigo Koyanagi is again in charge of series scripts. Souichirou Sako handles character design.

About the Original Manga
Clevatess started as a manga series written and illustrated by Yuji Iwahara. Iwahara is also known for the manga King of Thorn. The series began serialization on LINE Manga in August 2020.
The manga’s English title is Clevatess – The King of Magical Beasts, the Baby, and the Corpse Hero. The story follows a dark beast lord who kills 13 heroes, only to revive one of them and take care of a baby. The anime adaptation was announced in July 2024, with the second season confirmed after the first season finished airing.
