The popular dark fantasy anime Dorohedoro has given fans another reason to celebrate. The team behind Season 2 just put out a fresh animated music video for the ending song Return to Head. This video brings back the show’s signature weird and wonderful style.
The song comes from the music group (K)NoW_NAME. They also made the music for the first season of Dorohedoro. The new music video is not just a simple lyric video. It is a full animated short that pulls you right back into the messy, magical world of Hole.
New Video Focuses on Caiman’s Memory Loss and Nightmares
The video for Return to Head centers on the main story of Season 2. Caiman, the man with a lizard head, is still trying to get his real face back. The video shows his memory loss and the bad dreams that bother him.
The visuals use bright, high-contrast colors. They mix scary horror images with funny, dark jokes. This is exactly what Dorohedoro fans love about the series. The artist team sankaku handled the visual direction and editing for this music video.
The video picks up on central motifs of the second season: Caiman’s search for his true face, his memory loss, and the nightmare visions that haunt him. The imagery alternates between bright, almost psychedelic colors and dark, horror-like scenes.
The song Return to Head is performed by (K)NoW_NAME featuring NIKIIE. The group also performs the opening theme for Season 2, which is called Zettai MUST Danmen with Ayaka Tachibana.
