Netflix has released a new crime thriller that shows the capture of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán from a different angle. What Really Happened in 2016

Director Chava Cartas made the film with a clear goal. He wanted to move away from the usual way of telling drug cartel stories that often romanticize the criminals. Instead, he focused on the police officers who did their job and refused to take a bribe.
“I thought it was a story worth telling,” said Alfonso Herrera, who plays Officer Arturo Carmona.
Actor Paola Fernández, who plays the wife of one of the officers, told the AFP news agency: “It was very necessary, because we are used to, wrongly, even idolizing everything related to drug trafficking”.
